Built this shelf/desk with these flanges. They worked great. Yes some of the threads were a bit crooked but I was able to straighten out with the holes through the wood. Great for the price. $6 a piece at HD.

Y’all, we have made so many things with these! We made a bathroom light fixture, book shelves, bathroom shelves, a shoe stand, and working on using for a curtain rod. All our metal had to be wiped down or washed because it has some kind of coating on it. Some of the directions warned us of this and advised to wash it. We learned that this is normal and the same even if you buy them from Home Depot. We love the look and are eager to build more! One word of advice, these little bases can sometimes we warped and it can change how flush you get a shelf to the wall. So just pay attention to each one closely and if your going against a wall, get the straight one.

I got these for a furniture building project and they worked perfectly! Shipped fast but the box popped open inside the bigger box so the postman was terrified it was broken! Great price for these too!

These items from Brooklyn Pipe are better than expected with the nice Sandblasted finish. I originally thought to paint them black, but the finish really is nice and complements my shelving unit.

There's actually nothing to "dislike" about these items. I bought the 20 pack along with the 3/4 elbow joints and 2" connecting pipes. I've been rebuilding my home for some time now (got bored... destroyed everything inside... started from scratch). I made the banister last year. Just took me almost 5 months to work out how I wanted it to be attached to the wall! The products from the Brooklyn Pipe company were perfect (if slightly imperfect. Explanation in a second) These items are strong. Extremely robust AND for my requirements.... workable. If you look at the picture showing the underside of the banister you'll see that I've transformed the circular flange into a rectangular one. This is because the handrail is narrower than the circular flange and needed cutting to fit. NOT A FLAW WITH THE ITEM! Simply a requirement of necessity. But a trip to the workshop and an amount of hacksawing later and voilà. I love how it has turned out. Sometimes letting your imagination rule over common sense and practicality can create wonders. Doesn't matter if others don't like your ideas. So long as you do. I'll be buying more products from Brooklyn Pipe just as soon as my imagination has worked out the final design for the washing basket! Yes....I would heartily recommend these products.
