High quality product
Great product, great quality. Used for workplace in a shipyard with high exposure to welding environment in Virginia heat in 90-100 degrees. Stays cool for the morning. Ice packs needed to be refrozen at lunch time -high tech ice pack liquid freezes very quickly in cold water! Works great, but there is some feeling of extra weight, as expected, but can use less ice pack inserts to relieve. Shoulder structure and adjustable for is very comfortable for broad shoulders and chest.

Not for everyday use !!
Iām a lineman in south Florida, this one is not for the everyday working man . The cooling packs are made cheep , they bursts inside my vest and inside the cooler , making a mess everywhere, the liquid inside those ice packs stink !!having 7 different ice packages to insert in the vest is a pain as well , two solid thicker ice packs are much better. The cooling vest with Velcro straps fit better anyways .

Great for hot and humid climates
Not as young as I once was working in the Florida summers has gotten harder. When the humidity is nearly 100% the extra cooling makes it possible to work outside. Since the packs freeze at around 55F it's not all like wearing water ice packs strapped to you, these are actually very comfortable. The vest makes it possible to work for about 2 hours as they claim without getting dizzy or sweating so bad my eyes sting. I'd give it a 5 star if not for the relatively high price of the packs.I bought a second vest for my helper and tried the sports vest. As it turns out he has a larger chest and fits the original vest better, I prefer the velcro straps and lighter weight of the sports vest. The original vest uses snap in buckles and take a bit longer to adjust. After about a dozen washing machine cycles the original vest is holding up a bit better than the lighter nylon sports vest.I initially ordered the flame retardant version as I plan to use it under a welding apron.

Made for bigger chested people.
Seems like the product would work well but Glacier Tek needs to have different sizes. I'm 5'10", 140 lbs and even with it adjusted as small as possible the vest is enormous on me. Fit was way too loose to keep the gel packs against my chest.

Worth every penny.
Worked great to keep me cool while performing for three hours wearing my very hot Santa suit over it in a warm venue. Normally I would have been sweating like crazy. But this vest kept me as cool as a cucumber.
