Bought this for my Newfie when she was just a pup. It had been a favorite ever since. We stuff a few treats inside and pack the log with the squirrels and other small toys. When then toss it and tell her to “find the treats”! It’s fun to watch her dig and wrestle the toys out. Then to see her stick her big snout in to try and get her treats is good for a grin. This toy is still in great condition with no damage. It has been laundered many times and holds up great. She’s a dog that will do anything for treats, and this is a great way to make her think it through and work for her rewards. Only thing I would change is to maybe make the log crinkly. Otherwise a great treat dog toy.

Got this for the family dog, she loved it! Put the chipmunks inside the log and she had fun trying to get them out. The chipmunks are also squeaky. The toy lasted longer than these things usually do, but did wear and tear after a while. Our dog is small (35 lbs) so beware if you have a larger dog or a heavy chewer it may wear out faster.

This is a durable, engaging dog toy that has amused my puppy for hours. I am pleased with its design and construction.

My Brother left his Older Chihuahua with me to baby sit for a week and I purchased this for her & we played together everyday with it ! She had so much fun getting the squirrels 🐿️ out of the log and squeaking the squeaker inside them. She carried around one of the squirrels in her mouth off and on then hiding it somewhere in my house for later when she was ready to play with it again . Fantastic toy ! Would highly recommend it ! Great price & do play with your Fur babies with these , they require interaction ❣️ENJOY ❣️😃😃😃❣️

Very cute toy that my dogs loved. We purchased two of these same type of puzzle toys and both of my dogs preferred this specific one. Even with putting them up and then reloading it after they'd get them out, all of the little chipmunks didn't make it through the first hour of play complete. In defense of the toy, I haven't found a stuffed toy yet that has survived a full day with guts in tact. The main piece appears to be made a little better than the chipmunks. Since it is the chipmunks that dogs are targeting, it would have been nice if they were more durable. Maybe with the size it's not realistic or maybe it's better for sales of the re-fills, I don't know. I did find that there are fillers you can get that are a bit cheaper, so if you didn't mind mismatched prizes in the log, you could do that. Overall, I really like these, but I went in knowing that my dogs were going to be able to destroy it quickly.

This is our dog's favorite toy. She loves pulling the squirrels out. We'll probably buy another one, as she's finally pulled out all the squeakers (though they held up surprisingly well). The log is very durable, though.

I have a (currently) 4 month old puppy and we have no real idea how big she's going to get nor how destructive she might actually end up being (she's a mix, the father's unknown and she's currently 34 lbs.).Before we bought this product, and leading to our decision to try this toy with her, we noticed immediately how intelligent and inquisitive she was, and, as I've had other dogs who have enjoyed tearing stuffed animals and dog beds and other stuffed things to literal shreds, I figured it might be worth the investment to encourage her towards a more "productive" destructive curiosity.This toy seems to have done it.The truth is: I personally couldn't care less if she destroyed papers or junk mail or boxes or milk jugs or junk that was already destined to be garbage. Cleaning up dog-induced-shreds is about as much work as throwing away the initial objects themselves - but the dog gets the pleasure of tearing something apart. HOWEVER, I also don't want to have to police between what objects ARE or ARE NOT so-called "garbage." That's how you lose your favorite or "I-paid-too-much-because-it-seemed-worth-it-at-the-time" pair of shoes.Enter this toy - she really does love it. Yes, there are a few puppy-tooth-holes in the log at the moment, but it's also one of the first toys she pulls out of her toy bin and she loves shaking it (or nibbling) to get the smaller toys out of it.Please note: I tend to "reset" this set a lot - she's gotten way too good at removing the chipmunks (and monkeys we bought to go along with it - I pack both sets of animals inside of it, but that's another point). Today alone I witnessed her go from restless/disruptive puppy (I was dealing with a number of other non-puppy-related-life-issues) to receptive, sweet and calm after a session of stimulating play - including this toy.I bought this not knowing how my dog would react. But it's definitely turned into one of her favorite toys.I hope this helps!
