It just so happens that the LCD backlight on a huge number of iphone 4 phones have gone dark and never come back. Due to water damage the coil often get short out. The solution is to replace this on your water damaged no back-light phone and it workes 90% of the time. One thing I have to note though, this may not work for all instances since the backlight and the LCD of the phone is controlled by a number of things and circuitry. However it is well worth a shot! if this part is not your problem the second part on the backlight circuit also needed to repaired for the backlight is the IC chip (checkout my other listing here on amazon) or the actual LCD screen itself (unlikely but it happens.)
