I didn't personally do a taste test of the food to guarantee that the flavor is worth a five star rating but my dogs gobble it up. I'm going to take their enthusiasm as five stars.The value was great with the specials that were running at the time I purchased it. This is a brand and flavor I have purchased in the past from brick and mortar stores, and paid more. I really like the fact that I can get it cheaper - and delivered right to my door - a lot.

This 20-pound bag of Purina Dog Chow was delivered fresh, pronto and with intact packaging. My friends are appalled that I feed my dog cheap dog food. My veterinarian disagrees and told me that Purina makes a perfectly fine dog food. Anecdotally, I fed my last dog mostly Purina over his lifetime and he lived to be almost eighteen and a half. Furthermore, there have been just as many recalls on "premium" brands of dog food as the commercial ones. For me, frankly, while I love my pets, I simply cannot afford the drastic price difference to feed them a designer diet, and the cheaper food has never seemed to do them any harm. As for taste, well, I never tasted it! Only the first of my five dogs over the last 45 years was finicky and that was because I spoiled her. The other four were hardcore rescues and ate whatever I put in front of them. None of them got cancer or other diseases often connected to diet and the ones who have passed all died from age-related organ failure. Maybe I was just lucky. My current little one is around 6-years-old and in perfect health. In the three and a half years she has lived with me she has not been sick once. Being mixed breeds none of my dogs were prone to disorders like skin and stomach problems that afflict many purebreds that require special diets. I'm glad mine had none of those issues. Over the years I'm sure I have saved many thousands of dollars by feeding them foods like Purina and Pedigree. My current little dog is about 11 pounds. This 20-pound bag will last several months so feeding her costs mere pennies a day.

My dogs LOVE this and I love the price! Great quality food, my dogs are happy, healthy and look great! Don't get too hung up on the hype of expensive dog food. Save your money, this is every bit as good if not better than the over priced "glamor" brands!

If you're on a budget this is a decent food, at least my dog seems to enjoy it and is on his second bag. You get quite a lot of food for not a lot of money. If you're looking for high quality, this isn't it. With dog food you definitely get what you pay for, so don't expect to find a high quality or limited ingredient dog food at a cheap price.

Didnt try it personally but the dogs like it and the price was right - heavy bags like this are hard for me to shop for when Ive got a cart full of kids and nowhere to put it so the added convenience of delivery is huge on dog food

We had a routine wake up let dogs out. Then feed.Now they won't go out till fed they get all excited when I start preparing.They get very wiggly but they wait till I say eat.First dog food my dogs love so much. I have tried many .It cleared up my dogs dandruff. This is the first time he had dandruff tried many things oral and topical. After a 5 days of eating this food the dandruff was gone.

My little guy can be picky about food, but this one was a winner!

I bought this in a pinch. I have to first say that I don't really like feeding pet food where the first ingredient is corn. Corn is a filler. Corn is not something a Dog or a Cat would normally eat on it's own, say in the wild or in a field if it were hungry. It's going to seek out Meat.... Rodents, Fish, Birds. Cat's bring home Rodents and Birds to share, not Corn Cobs! Anyway, the price is great for the amount of food. But it has all that coloring in it, and if your dog pukes occasionally like mine does, and you have light colored carpet, it's a pain to get out. I have a couple of light "pink" spots. (By the way, Resolve Pet Expert Stain remover works great!) All that coloring is something else our pet's don't need.
