The Seirus Innovation Jam Master II is an over-the-glove protector that's constructed of ABS plastic bones and a padded shell. This protective bone shell fits easily over your glove or mitt for hand protection while you snowboard.

Fantastic for snowboarding!
I purchased these for snowboarding as I was new to the sport and didn't want to hurt my wrist when I fell. I have been on the slopes several times and these things are a life saver! I have fallen approximately 30 (or more) times and these saved my wrists completely. No pain, no sprain, no break... they have completely protected me. Yes they go on the outside of the glove so are a little bulky, but so is a cast on your wrist for 6 weeks if you break it! I also found once I had them on top of my glove I could just take both the glove and the guard off together (and put them on again together (just tighten the strap again) so it wasn't too fiddly to keep taking them on and off. Also once they are on you kind of forget they are there anyway as you are concentrating on other things. One piece of advice would be that when you receive them use some nail polish to mark one of the wrist guards so when you're on the slope and put them on, its easy to know which is left and which is right (first few times this is confusing). Would definitely buy these again and have been recommending them to everyone!!

I loved it so much I went back about a week ...
I went snowboarding for the first time about 4 weeks ago. I did not have wrist guards and fell about 60-70 times a day for the first two days. Usually my wrists took the blunt of the fall and they were very tender / sore for the rest of the trip. Even after falling that much, I loved it so much I went back about a week ago, but this time I got wrist guards. They took a lot of damage, but I also only fell a couple times, generally when trying jumps and carving quicker. They definitely saved my wrists. The only downside is somewhere else has to take the force. For me, it was my forearm right below the wrist where the guard hit every time I fell. Unfortunately, this hit every tendon in my hand. By the end of the first day it felt like I had slapped something really hard and I had a long term "tingly" feeling all throughout my hand, on both hands. It was mostly gone by the next day, but was pretty unpleasant. Definitely better than an aching feeling I had the trip before.

Sizing is a gamble. Quality and design is no better than cheaper models.
The sizing is so elusive that the "how does this product fit" question is irrelevant. I bought the "JR" size for my slender 12 year old boy. They fit ok. If they had been too small, I would have had him wear them inside his mittens. As it stands, they seem to be ok OVER his mittens. If he gets uncomfortable, we can change to a different thickness or size of mitten or glove. It's a gamble. More importantly, I see no significant difference between this product and the wrist guards the kids use for skateboarding, rollerskating, iceskating. I think we got a full set of knee pads/elbow pads/wrist protectors at Target for $18 instead of the $25 these cost.

Worth Every Penny by the First Fall!
I bought these used. It was clean, but I was not overly concerned with hygiene as I wear this over my gloves. Still, it was easy to clean and the velcro attachments on it don't fail even when encrusted with snow. I love to snowboard but I need my wrists and hands. I got these as I was recovering from a sprain of my left wrist. I felt that these babies paid for themselves right off the ski lift, after protecting my wrist from a pretty hard slam being bumped by other riders.I highly recommend this product!

If these are the wrist guards...
If these are the wrist guards I bought (can't see because I'm on mobile and it won't let me click for more details) then they were crap. Uncomfortable and bulky. Didn't even take them on the trip with me. I left them at the house. I don't recommend.

excellent product. Dealer did great job
excellent product.Dealer did great job. I could have saved from shipping fees, instead of expediting it but that's okay.the top plastic protection did hurt my hand, a bone on the upper side of my had got sensitive for being pressed against the plastic. The palm-facing plasti did a great job in protecting my hands from bending each time i hit on the ground, from snowboarding.it is easy to slide on the gloves and i did not need to remove it the entire day. The protection will stay on the gloves as yo uremove the gloves for whatever reason.it seems very sturdy and that will last for many years, or falls!a good solution and protecting equipment.

Worked ok while they lasted
Fits well enough over thick gloves. The guards worked decently well, until the Velcro straps fell apart after 2-3 uses. To be fair, this was while I was learning to snowboard, so I may have been more rough on them than someone who knows what they're doing. They do cause a fair amount of pressure and soreness on your lower forearm, but it's better than stressing your wrist.

Not sure if it was because of these or if they saved me from worse injury.
They feel a bit awkward at first but after a while I didn't even notice I had them on. However, after my first snowboarding lesson my wrists were very sore. Not sure if it was because of these or if they saved me from worse injury. :)

Adjustable to many sizes, strong and well made, but still allow good hand and finger movement
They just arrived, I am giving them to my 10 year old nephew to use with his new skateboard. It appears that they would fit a medium youth (maybe an average 8-9 year old), but can be adjusted to fit a small-medium adult hand as well. They appear to be solid, while allowing free hand and finger movement. I have used wrist guards before and still have the use of both of my hands because of them I am sure, so I feel pretty confident that these will protect my nephews wrists, whether he is skate boarding, snow boarding or whatever else he decides to try. I wasn't sure what I would get when I ordered them, but was impressed when they arrived. I would buy them for any family member again.
