Simply amazing !!!
Great value, the auto wake up when lifted is flaky but still worth every penny and more. Comes up fast, love the quick response when waking up from sleep mode.

So good, I bought two!
This compact unit has left me very impressed! The warmup times and soldering consistency are not far off the mark from even my Hakko FX-951 and it even takes the same tips. The firmware is excellent with easy to use menus and and the fit and finish of the enclosure is very good. The iron itself isn't as nice in the hand as the FX-951, but for $200 less, you'll get over it. The OLED display is bright, downright pretty and it includes a screensaver function that slightly shifts the image to prevent burn in.Functionally, I'd place this somewhere in between the Hakko FX-888D and the FX-951. If I had to pick between an FX-888D and this, I'd get this unless it was a production critical iron, in which case the years of experience with the known reliability of the FX-888D would give it the nod. With that said, although this iron hasn't been around for long enough to prove itself as tough as the Hakko FX-888D, I'm pretty confident it will hold up fairly well as it is well made.

Surprising for such a small package, love the T12 ends!
It's great to have a T12 solderering station that's affordable and very compact.Uses generally available T12 tips, easy to read screen, bright and can be seen from just about any angle. The one problem I have with it is that the handle gets just too warm - it's not well enough insulated, and will burn your fingers if you hold too close to the end of the handle. I wrapped mine with duct tape but it's not a great workaround.

Worked for a few hours
Looks like a nice iron, and while it was working, I suppose it was, but it didn't live long enough to finish one circuit board :(While soldering, the iron got cold, and the controller displayed "ERROR" then after a minute the heater turned back on, and never shut off. The tip started glowing red.

Great for a hobbiest
Price is very good for what you get. Chinese quality. Not something you will have on your work bench in a few years. But this is a good soldering iron for under 100 dollars.

Great quick heating up time
After years of waiting for my soldering iron to heat up, especially for one solder joint, I wish I had upgraded a long time ago to a modern quick unit like this one and tip changes are a snap.
