Otamatone "Deluxe [Kirby Edition] Electronic Musical Instrument Portable Synthesizer from Japan by Cube/Maywa Denki

My son asked for an otamatone for Christmas and I had no idea what it was lol. I found this one and he loved it. Had it for a year now and it still works great. He has fun playing with it and when his friends come over they love playing with it too.

So so cool and fun. We all love playing it. At first I was like is this gonna just be played with for a day..but it’s worth it. It’s really funny and cute to play and for me very easy to play. I’ve played piano for 20 years however. But very easy to figure out and master IMO. Def get the big one for little ones. The spacing is easier for the notes. Also heard complaints about quality from other sellers. I can tell u this is 100 percent real and great quality. Very happy with purchase.

Adult tried this 1st- put batteries in- tried to play Kirby- it didn't sound right- then smelled burnt and then started smoking from the speaker. Mouthed never did make sound- then it quit working at all! Very sad B-day boy😭 But the sellers returned my money ASAP after I returned their product. I did buy 2 products from them- it just so happened that the Bday boys didn't work. Not their fault- the other one. Worked perfectly. Just bad timing- can be expected!! They did me right !!!

The fact it’s Kirby is super cool, sounds awesome, is the real thing, all around awesome gift.

I bought my daughter a regular Otamatone several months ago. She loves it, however her mom hates it and forbid her from bringing it to her house. We decided to get the deluxe version in part because of the headphone jack, so she could play it at her mother's without annoying her musical ear with out of tune playing and microtonal noises. Well, the headphone jack works (more on that later) however plugging something into the jack does not mute the internal speaker. This was one of the main reasons we upgraded! Also, the output level on the headphones is extremely low. You can definitely hear it, but even with good headphones on it's so quiet you hear the sound from the Otamatone itself louder than through the headphones. This is a problem because another thing we wanted to do was run the output through an effects box and amplifier, and the output is so low that the Otamatone speaker is louder than the amp unless I boost the signal by using the overdrive channel on the amp, and even then you have to turn the gain up to the point that the sound is distorted for it to be louder then the sound coming from the Otamatone internal speaker. I was finally able to get a clean, audible sound by chaining multiple volume boosted effects on my multi effects box but this is not an optimal solution. On the positive side, it's very cute and the touch sensor is much more sensitive than on the cheaper models. It's much easier to play.

My son truly loves it. He figured out where are the notes are enjoys playing it especially he knows how to play violin and piano .. it’s was fun to use . He even took it to school and showed to his orchestra teacher

Kirby is a huge hit. Here is what is awesome about this model otamatone. 1) Size - it is easy to hit the notes on the larger staff 2) Volume - this is loud enough and has range of volume. Really helps in a larger room or when others are being played / laughing. 3) Output - this has a 3.5mm output which you can hook to a PA or powered speaker.

This was a huge hit for my 11 year old child! Received in great condition and has provided hours of entertainment and fun!

The deluxe versions are full instruments and have been used to produce music. Being a Kriby based one was part of the reason I purchased this as a gift over other ones. Delivery was slower than expected but that could have been related to Coronavirus. Product instructions are mainly in Japanese but you can figure out the controls.

Ordered a deluxe for 116$ and got a non deluxe, asked customer service and they were great on fixing the problem.
