We Are Glad We Bought an IPool
My husband and I did a lot of research before we bought our IPool 2 Deluxe in June 2014. We looked at every possible option including a swim spa, and even putting in a regular swimming pool (either concrete or fiberglass). Initially he did not like the looks of the iPool but when push came to shove it still was our best choice. We realized that we weren't interested in an entertainment area and that this was simply going to be like a piece of exercise equipment for me. I must work out in the water due to a couple of chronic illnesses and I grew tired of coming home from work and having to leave again to go to the gym.We ordered our pool from Amazon and it was delivered very promptly. It arrives in multiple boxes and the delivery company put it in the back yard for us. However it was not easy for us to put together while I have read that for others it was. The assembly was exhausting. Because it is in our backyard we first had a concrete pad built to put it on. We also had to have the proper electrical wiring put in to accommodate the heater because I plan on using it in the winter as well as the summer. Unfortunately the electrician didn't know what he was doing and he wired it for a smaller heater. Lawrence Chang has been wonderful in terms of customer service and agreed to take the heater that we bought and exchange it for a smaller powered one which will work just as well, he says, in this pool. This is just one example of the wonderful customer service we have received from Mr. Chang.Once we had it set up it didn't take long to fill it with water and our water bill was really not that much higher. We keep the pump running pretty much all the time and it hasn't greatly impacted our electric bill either. I do not really use the swim harness very much instead I choose to run in the water and do aerobics and I also do some light swimming but not with the harness. The Deluxe 2 is quite deep and honestly, I could have gotten by with one of the others. But I love it and think it is pretty wonderful to be able to pop out into my yard at any time and get my exercise without having to drive to a gym and put up with crowds and rude people. I love being under the stars instead of indoors. The biggest learning curve for us has been making sure the pool water is balanced for the hot Texas sun. We have a great pool service company that helps us with water testing, etc. Like any pool, it needs to be kept clean and filtered. When I was reading different reviews I noticed some did not like the pump. We change the filter regularly and keep it on a lot. I think it's really OK.If you are looking for a nicely landscaped place to entertain family and and friends, and you have 40,000, then a traditional concrete pool might be the one for you. But wow, the iPool has been a terrific choice. It is very durable and strong, unlike typical above ground pools. This is not flimsy or complex. We did our homework and it has been a great purchase!

Great pool, but...
I love my ipool, but there are some problems people need to be aware of. I had to hire two handy men to put it together. It took them 5 hours. At least an hour, probably more, was devoted to the ladder. Even once the ladder was built it is not at all stable. It doesn't attach to anything, but is free standing. Also, there are other expenses people should be aware of. We had to have the electrician come out and do special wiring for the heater. Then we had to have a pool company come out and hook up the heater and the filter, they had to come back because the hoses weren't long enough. It's a great pool but don't expect to be swimming the same day it arrives. Still I really do love it and even with the extras it's much less expensive than a swim spa. In addition to swimming using the harness I enjoy doing kicks while holding on to the side and just kind of dancing around. It's fun.

fire and smoke coming out of raypac heater unit for ipool2 deluxe
ipool is so so ok ,ladder takes to much space, water outlets close on thier own stopping the filteration process raypac heater sent from amazon is is worst, today is may 30, until last week i could not swin because it takes too much time to heat the water ie 8 to 9 hrs to raise temp to 88 degrees i live in desert part of california.!!!! ( i made Mr chang aware of it he said i needed insulating blanket and solar cover then it will heat up in 3 hrs so i bought above for $200+ !!! had problems right from start last year called raypac heater, they sent me on so called local dealers who in turn sent a persons so called techs who were calling their office for answers and was guessing ( because he had no circuit diagram of the unit ) the wires , smoke and fire started coming out !!!! . this year may 30( today), i started my summer exercise season with inserting new filter started up the heater and filter immidiately smoke and fire started coming through the heater unit, this is a 220volt heater and can be dangerous to the person in ipool2.. this heater was wired and installed by licensed electrician from angies list( cost me close to $1000) .6-3-2015 just got of the telephone after talking to raypac tech, he says this heater is ment for 900-1000 gallon spa not for 2000 gallon ipool2

I can not say enough about this company. I had problems initially with a few things and the company was terrific about assisting me. I have now had this pool for 2 years and LOVE it! Best purchase for my health I have made! I did buy a bigger heater for the pool because it is in my garage.I swim in it year round. I would recommend this pool to anyone, and also this company.
