Good product
Enterococcus faeciumEnterococcus faecium strains were isolated from an original biotope, artisanal dried Tunisian meat “Dried Ossban,” and evaluated for safety and capacity as probiotics. Gram-positive, catalase negative, and bacteriocin-producing bacteria were screened using selective microbiological media. All isolates were identified by phenotypic and molecular tools. Five E. faecium strains (MZF1, MZF2, MZF3, MZF4, and MZF5) were selected and further assessed for their probiotic properties. They were found to be resistant to the physiological concentrations of bile salts, and the harsh conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, and showed autoaggregation and adhesion ability. All these isolates possess at least one enterocin and could efficiently inhibit the growth of Listeria innocua HPB13. The analysis of their safety profile revealed for almost all the strains the absence of cytotoxicity and virulence determinants, and susceptibility to clinically important antibiotics such as vancomycin. These data suggest that these bacteria, isolated from “Dried Ossban,” do not present a risk to human health, and may be considered as interesting candidates for future use as probiotics and bioprotective cultures for application in the food and/or feed industries.

Literally changed my life!!!
I have horrible food intolerances but mostly to dairy, gluten, actually carbs in general, and sugar. I also suffer from horrible migraines when I eat the wrong foods. I’ve taken probiotics on and off through out the years and the majority make me feel worse rather than better. I then read an article to avoid lactobacillus based probiotics, and then found these and after reading the positive reviews I decided to give it a go. They have literally changed my life, from the very first dose I felt better, and not sick like most probiotics make me feel. I have continued to feel better and better, I actually feel like my food is digesting now and not just sitting in my stomach. I also have had ZERO migraines since starting this product. I could not be happier! I wish I would have found this product years ago! So worth the price!

Expensive but good quality, for a healthy gut microbiome
After doing a lot of reading about the importance of a healthy gut microbiome, I decided to try this product. It was recommended by Dr Grace Lui, of the blog Animal Pharm, who has written extensively on how the gut affects our life. Everything from our immune system, digestion, weight loss, mood, allergies, etc etc. Also there's a lot of good info at Free the Animal.com, by Richard Nikoley. He's written about the good gut bugs and how we not only need them in the first place, but what to feed them to maintain healthy gut microbiota, especially if we've ever taken antibiotics, which we all know wipes them out. And no, store bought yogurt does not re-plant the entire population. There are about a 100 trillion intestinal microflora in a healthy gut, with up to 1000 different species! That little cup of morning yogurt won't replace those. This product will, according to the list on the bottle. It contains the regular probiotics that most products offer, plus soil-based organisms, which so many of us lack now. And it includes some potato starch, which many of those species thrive on. Richard Nikoley (at Free the Animal.com) wrote a lot on this. See his article on Probiotics: The Genetic Component of Obesity. Hmmm... very interesting stuff.Another great source of info I found was Paul and Shou-Ching Jaminet. They are both scientists who have done extensive research, and wrote the book Perfect Health Diet.Long story short, yes this little bottle of probiotics is expensive (to me on my budget). It only has 30 servings, if you follow the dosage recommendations on the bottle. But I bought it for a "re-seeding" strategy (I'm taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night, with a tablespoon of unmodified potato starch dissoloved in water). I might have to follow up with a more affordable product for daily use, but plan to occasionally "upgrade" to a bottle of this one every few months, and then "feed" them with the recommended nutrients.Oh yeah, and I really like that it's stable at room temperature. That way I can set the bottle out where it's right in my way, so I don't forget to take it. :-)

This product is still better than any probiotic I've tried in the past (all ...
Perhaps this is effective for certain applications, however I purchased this for IBS-C and after 2 months of taking it the only things I noticed were somewhat increased motility, slightly improved digestion and very minor reduction in gas, but not nearly what I had hoped for. This product is still better than any probiotic I've tried in the past (all of which were lactobacillus and/or bifidobacterium strains), but for my problem it wasn't quite satisfactory. That's not to discredit the product, as there are many accounts of this formula helping people with other conditions.
