nice to hear but their songs were a bit repetitive and shame the guitar was not as dominant

Got this as a Christmas present (lucky lad!) as it was on my Christmas list and was so grateful to my niece for buying it for me. I love Free live in concert and this CD of their legendary Isle of Wight set does not disappoint. Koss is on top form throughout as are all the band members though I would have expected Andy Fraser's bass on Mr. Big to have been more to the forefront. But that's the only minor concern and we have every reason to be grateful for having this on CD at last.The second shorter set recorded by an audience member in Geneva is no less impressive. I do wonder if that person was at or close to the mixing desk at the time, given the excellent quality but even so it is wonderful.A highly recommended CD and an essential set for all those who are still fans of the best Fab Four of the late sixties and early seventies. Don't ask questions, just buy it.

I was at the 1970 Isle Of Wight and remember watching and listening to Free on this very warm and sunny afternoon. Definitely one of my highlights of the whole three day event. A stunning performance by the whole band, and every bit as enjoyable as when Jimi Hendrix played his set.PAUL KOSSOFF R.I.P.
