This is just what I was looking for. The fit and finish are not perfect, but as a stereo microscope it works great. I use it to satisfy my curiosity, looking at coins, stamps, bugs, tool edges, etc. The standard lenses work just fine for the above. Sometimes, lower magnification is better. I use the zoom is most situations. I think the adjustable eye pieces--to adjust for different eye spacing--are essential. The light ring is perfectly adequate for illuminating subjects. The side mounted switches for adjusting the light intesity helpful and convenient. I haven't tried taking pictures yet, but I like having that feature available. I looked at other lower priced and lowed featured microscopes but landed on this one as having all the features I wanted, at an exceptable price and level of quality.
