I got the white and black candles like this & The white ones smell kind of good it’s kind of coconut scented but just slightly and it’s probably not coconut. Only one was slightly bent but I got the black ones too and they smell horrible made my head hurt they smell like those nasty black jeans u get and that nasty smell that never goes away. I had to walk away from them and more than one of those is bent so that’s a bummer and I’ll think about if I want to return them or not cause it was like half of them! Oh yeah also don’t like the packaging because there’s no way to store them safely the box is open and isn’t sealed so even that will make them fall out if I Stand them up nicely because it’s like a flap. I have no clue how I’ll store them but I’ll have to think of something soon. I like the boxes the small candles come in and hope they change to something similar soon. Keep an eye on the viscacha holders I got mine for 9.99 instead of the almost $20 ones! So that was a good deal and they fit perfectly in them ohhh yeahhh

I love the size, the quality, and the fact they are pure black and not just black-coated white candles but OH MY GOD they reek! The chemical smell is SO overpowering it's nauseating. I will say this, for some reason once they are lit and burning, the smell does dissipate. But sitting in the box, they made my entire supply drawer smell terrible. I ended up wrapping the whole thing in cling wrap and again in foil. I doubt I'd buy again.

I understand 'hand-poured' so I didn't expect perfection. I was looking for candles to fit into a rustic theme so they were perfect for me. However, if it was an elegant dinner party I would have wanted a candle with a smooth or glossy finish. These were dull with patches that looked like the hardening additive to the wax hadn't blended very well. Nonetheless, for a rustic look they are perfect. My party was completely candle lit and the candles lasted 2-4 hours. I think some burned faster in areas with more movement which causes a slight breeze. Like I said, they are perfect unless you are looking for chic elegance.

Horrible. Please just spend the extra few bucks and get decent candles. I thought "How bad can these be? They're just candles."Well...1. They are much skinnier than regular taper candles so they don't sit snugly in my candlestick holder.2. They're a lot wider at the base than they are at the top which means you're getting a lot less candle for your money and they burn a lot faster than regular taper candles.3. They come in a box with all the candles rubbing against one another and they look very dull and scuffed. Kind of defeats the whole point of having nice pretty candles on display.4. Some of the wicks are okay and centered but some of them are completely to one side which means you can barely even burn the candle.They're fine I'll burn them up but I highly highly recommend against getting these.

Hi,really I don’t have a problem with the product. My problem is have came broken from one package and from the other package 4 came broken,because I order two package. The problem is the person who put the package together don’t put enough cushion on the package especially this product is so delicate. Thanks

I bought two packs of these for my wedding, and they looked beautiful in the candle holders! Other reviewers mentioned the smell, but it really wasn't an issue for me. It's pretty strong when you open the box, but completely not noticeable when actually using the candles. Seriously, don't let that part of the reviews stop you from buying these. I had 24 of them all lit indoors at my wedding, and there was no lingering smell in the air.The only reason I knocked off a star was that a few of them did drip.

Please spend your money on a different product. I don't have that much of a problem with the smell, like other reviewers have mentioned (though they definitely don't smell amazing). However, all but four of these tapers were broken when I received them. They were clumsily packaged in an envelope and the box holding the tapers had no cellophane on it, so all the candles were rattling around loose in an envelope in transit. I won't order these again.Super disappointed. Not sure how I can continue being metal af and my Satan worshiping ways without these.

These candles are certainly black and dripped quite nicely when lit.When lit, the burning time is just over seven and a half hours. I preferred longer but you can't always guarantee how long candles will burn. I guess it depends on the weather too, high humidity experienced at this time of year here, might have shortened the burning time of these candles?Unlike some folks, I like candles to drip, these dripped beautifully and I'm very happy with them!I'II order more when I had a need for black candles, these candles are Good!

Cardboard box, each candle is not individually wrapped. A rather dull finish, not glossy. But good burn time. I'd order them again, just because it's so hard to find good size black taper candles.
