Takes the stress out of packing
My hubby and I are planning a 7-day tent camping trip for just the two of us and our large dog. We decided to take our small CRV rather than our large Suburban to conserve gas and to have more space at our campsite. Because our Akita needs enough space to move around in the back of our car during the 8-hour drive, most of our stuff has to go in the car top carrier. So, needless to say, space is at a premium and I can only take a carry-on size bag. I’d never used packing cubes before, but I figured they were worth a try if they made my packing more efficient. And, wow. I wish that I’d discovered these years ago.There are four cubes in this set, and they fit everything I need perfectly, with even some room to spare. In the largest cube I fit six pairs of jeans, athletic pants, and a sweatshirt. In the medium cube I fit seven shirts, some nylon shorts, and a bathing suit. The small cube holds all of my socks, underwear, and bras. And I used the smallest cube for toiletries. I put all of the cubes in my carry-on size duffel bag, and still had room for some tennis shoes, sandals, a rolled towel, and a large canvas laundry bag. I was really surprised.These cubes are made from a lightweight nylon material and they have mesh panels that allow for ventilation. The mesh also makes it easier to view the contents of the cube without opening it up. Cubes each unzip across three sides so they can be opened up completely and laid flat. Each bag has a two-way zipper so they can be opened at either side. The zippers seem pretty solid and zip smoothly. Each cube has a carrying handle on the bottom. Now I can’t imagine ever packing a bag again without these cubes to organize my stuff.
