Getting older, my eyesight changed from near-sighted to far-sighted. That removed the glasses restriction from my drivers license, but now I need a magnifying glass to read. Why do they use such tiny text in books nowadays? And why do they keep putting dark text on a dark background?I really wanted a square reading glass with a light, but this is the only magnifying glass i could find with an actual glass lens. I have many plastic-lens magnifying glasses. They get scratched and blurry after a short time. This a a good solid device with a glass lens. It's a bit heavier than a plastic-lens magnifying glass. The 4-inch lens is a good size for reading. I love it.I held off on this review until after I ordered a second one. If you want a magnifying glass with an actual glass lens, you better order one now. They're hard to find and I don't think they'll be making them for much longer.

I see people saying how light this is but I'm going to disagree. I have 2 other magnifying glasses and one even has batteries in it for a light and they both weigh much less than this does. I find it heavy in the hand and wondering if it's going to work for what I bought it for as I feel my wrist is going to get tired holding it up.It's sturdy and the glass is great. Easy to look through. The rubberized handle is nice to avoid slipping out of your hand.Just wish it were lighter...we shall see.

This big magnifying glass really helps for fine print. It is very sturdy and the handle has a nice grip.I wanted a true glass lens because the plastic lenses I have had before have distorted the image to some extent. This magnifier weighs more than a similar plastic model but it is still easily used.Also, it's very good-looking in my opinion.

I ordered this magnifying glass for my mom. She recently had cataract surgery which restored her vision with the exception of close up. She has glasses all over the house, hers and mine, but having this magnifying glass handy has kept her from having to reach for glasses every time. She uses it for many things that involve a quick look, loves it!

Great magnifying glass. I'm just a little over 50, but those darn pill bottles have such tiny type. I had a small magnifying glass that got distorted and made things hard to read. This one has been great. Clear and easy to read. A little larger maybe than I really needed or wanted, but overall has been excellent. Would definitely recommend.

It works well and seems steardy, but our got dropped on a carpeted floor and the lense fell out. Of course we were able to put it back into place, but if we are not carful we could chip the lense or worse. Also for anyone wanting to know since the lense is very thick glass it is a little heavy, but hits handle has a good grip.

Bought for elementary school science corner. They were a big hit with 1st graders. Easy for them to handle.

A great product, particularly that more things are required on bottles so print is squeezed smaller and smaller. And best of all, it works! Thanks.
