VOLUME PROFILE: The insider's guide to trading

This book is amazing, it covers all things volume profile as well as an amazing step by step guide on how to approach trading. I will be reading again!

First of all, I am not a Forex Trader and I am certainly not a Day Trader. I am a swing trader who uses stocks, options and leveraged ETFs for trading on a time scale of a few days to a month of holding period. However, I was certain that I could benefit from a guidance on the subject of volume profile.I was not disappointed. The author does an admirable job of educating about the importance of volume as the third dimension of a technical analysis, the price and time being the other two. His explanation of the market movers' footprint to be found in the volume bars is lucid and coherent. I had no difficulty buying his arguments trace the movement of the market makers from their volume footprint. Applying his observations on trade setups was a logical conclusion and I set about examining dozens of charts of equities prospectively to see the results. They work with proper precautions taken as described by him.It is rare to see advocates of this theory or that one admit to their failed trades. This author does it and makes good points to emphasize that nothing works 100% of the time in the markets.I will be re-reading this e-book again in a few weeks and may have a few notes to add at that time.This one of the best educational nugget I have found in a vast ocean of misinformation, idealistic and hopeful prattle about investing advice.It is a bargain at this price and could help you make better decisions in your trading experience.My many many thanks to the author for such a lucidly written short book about such an important subject.

It’s a good book for learning more about volume profile in general, I am not into or interested in forex, but the concepts still applies to other instruments despite the book’s heavy focus on forex.

Best purchase of 2024, clear instructions and easy to read.

Great book and ideas explained clearly. One of the best book I have read in trading. Everything in this book make sense to me.

Good info, strategies & insight; however his grammar and syntax needs work

Anyone Who's looking to learn about Volume Profile, this is the book and you can stop with this one. This book is chock full of great information that I've not found anywhere else and there are some great trading strategies in there to boot that you can put to use right away. There were so many aha moments in here as well that I'm sure others that have been studying the market for a while will have the same reaction I had time and time again. "Oh so that's why the market moves in that way, it's because of this or that..." So many things make more sense not only with utilizing the Volume Profile information that he has in this book but also in Dale's Order Flow Book as well which I also read after finishing the Volume Profile book. For Intraday traders alone, the Order Flow Book is a must. The Volume Profile ups the game tremendously and the Order Flow Profile book is the icing on the cake. You will not be disappointed at all and will definitely wish that you would have read either of these books long ago. Both books are very clear and concise with very little to no filler garbage. Dale lays all of the information out beautifully.

Information about volume was very insightful. Sometimes you may need to read some sections more than once. I am still trying to understand his explanation for the "failed auction " and where I should enter when I see one. I am certain I will use some of his strategies. I will be visiting his website next to see what else he offers. He definitely needs a better editor. Might I suggest grammarly before you publish next time. The text was rife with grammatical errors and typos. In spite of those issues, you are still able to understand his point most of the time. I recommend this book for traders of all experience levels.
