40mm Keyed Alike Padlock 4 Pack Laminated Steel Keyed Padlocks with Long Shackle, 1-9/16" Wide Body Set of 4 pad locks with same key

These locks are definitely sturdy.... however they indicate these locks are waterproof, which they’re not! I bought these back in April of this year 2019 and I had to bolt cut one of the locks because somehow the rain got under the cap where the lock is and rusted it all up. Definitely not worth buying these for outdoors. Not happy with this product.

I live in a cold climate. During the winter months, we get sleet, freezing rain, and ice storms. I purchased these locks with the expectation that they would work well with my fence and function when I needed them most.As a basic lock, you're getting what you pay for. The lock seems sturdy enough. They're covered in a weather resistant coating that should keep the lock from rusting. The locks fit in one of my fence locks. Unfortunately, the weather resistant covering gets stuck. It catches on one of my bates whereas other locks (of similar caliber) had no issues.To make matters worse, there's a gasket that you have to have connected to the lock to keep it "Weather Resistant". This gasket makes it difficult to remove the lock from all of my gates.I find it frustrating as to leave my yard, I have to:1) Unlock the lock2) Remove the Gasket3) Remove the lock4) Place the lock in the gate5) Squeeze the Gasket back on6) Lock the lockThat may only sound like 2 additional steps, but when you consider that that gasket is a point to put on and take off, you can't do anything in a hurry.On the bottom of the lock is a stopper that fits over the key. The problem is that it doesn't fit correctly. In order to make the key slot protector fit, I have to twist it and turn it until it barely fits snugly. This was the same experience across all 3 locks.The real test was when we got ice. Even with the gasket and stopper the lock froze shut. I had to find a heat source to warm it up just enough to get the key in. Once the key was in, the lock wouldn't release. Some WD40 later, I was finally able to remove the lock from my gate. After the frustration of removing the first lock, I find myself waiting for the thaw before I even deal with the other lock on the gate I barely use.The old fashion method of wrapping a plastic bag around my locks seems to work better than these locks. I'm very disappointed. There are other options out there if you're looking for a basic lock.I do NOT recommend.

I use this lock outside since Nov 2018. Now in March 2019 i'm shopping for a replacement. The lock is corroded. It's difficult to insert the key, and it's difficult to reclose the lock when i'm done.

These are some of the worst locks I have ever used. The keys are very difficult to get in and to turn. They are also very difficult to get lined up properly to lock again. I do not know how they call these waterproof/weatherproof. When I open the bottom protective flap there is water inside. I would not recommend these to anybody.

I needed a sturdy look for my gym locker and the tiny lock I had on hand wasn't doing the job. These are HEAVY and each comes with two keys. I paste shiny beads on mine so I can spot it on the gym locker since there are so many locks that look like these! The arc is just the right size, as are the sides, and fits the gym locker perfectly. Also fits the side gate on the house. Very pleased with the locks and this is a very low price for the quality.

Nothing wrong with the product. I ordered because I lost my lock in my shed and needed a lock before nightfall. Unfortunately 20 minutes after I ordered my mother gave me a lock she had. I tried cancelling right away. I am upset because they would not let me cancel. For them conviently they had system problems and was unable to process my cancellation. So instead of buying something else I needed I am stuck with these locks. I need a few more things but after this experience I will slow down in shopping with Amazon.

We installed a new fence with gates and thought these would hold up in the weather, seeing as how they are rubberized on the outside. Well, it turned out that after just a couple of weeks, when we went to open a gate to mow the lawn, we had to cut the darn thing off! The other one is still up because it was difficult to cut through the first one and we don't need to use that gate yet, but what a disappointment. Waste of money. Don't buy them.

As they say, locks are not meant to keep true criminals out. They are meant to keep honest people honest.These four beauties will put the lockdown on your pad, your chest of hopes, your belt of ambiguous chastity, your rigid yet exceptionally flexible lips and if you really desire, all four at one time!I would buy them again because I think someone stole mine. :(
