I have a tenor guitar early fifties Gibson want to restring and learn how to playit. are these the strings for me

I'm the owner of a vintage Gibson. My Luthier recently told me the guitar was far to valuable to risk with anything but light string sets. The gauges of my strings match the d'ddario J66 tenor set old here at Amazon.

Is this tenor set a e c g?

I'm tuning cgda low to high. Think you could tune as you want as long as not too much tension for instrument.

The D'addario J66 strings work well on my tenor guitar. I have tuned my guitar in cgda and gdae and it works for both quite well.

I have a 22 7/8" scale inbanez and want to tune to gdae will these tune well to that tuning? i typically have used heavier gages.

Jazz tenor strings in GDAE tuning are pretty slack. I run the top 4 from the EJ17 medium guitar set on the exact same Ibanez in GDAE with good results.
