Aftermarket Replacement Pads Liner for Giro Atmos Helmet

I love my Giro Atmos and it sees a lot of use. As a consequence I need a new pair of pads about twice a year. The original pads wear out and separate when you wash them. I decided to give these pads a try because I also find the original pads to be rather thin and when helmet light and camera are mounted a little extra cushion is most welcome.These arrived quickly and fit the helmet perfectly. You can reuse the original velcro patches but if those have started to come off or you simply want to go all new, there are some included with this kit. The material attaches to the velcro well and fit is just like the OEM pads. You will definitely need to readjust your straps a little because these pads are indeed thicker than the originals. They are, however, quite flexible and I found it easy to get that perfect fit for my Atmos again. After the first week of riding with the new pads I am convinced that this was a good decision. The helmet is more comfortable and the pads perform well and dry out quickly. We will see about durability but I don't expect them to be any worse than the originals.

I took a pretty long hiatus with riding my bike and just recently got back on the horse. Went to go put my helmet on and couldn't believe how uncomfortable the helmet was due to the old padding. I immediately started searching for pad replacements. The Atmos is a little dated and replacement pads are not easy to find. Rolled the dice on these guys and couldn't be happier. I wouldn't be concerned about the thicker padding making your helmet not fit properly. Plenty of give in the pads. I made little to no adjustments. Not sure how well they will hold up over time but at this price point it's a no brainer. I'll more than likely purchase a few more sets just to have them when needed. Definitely recommended.

Great replacement pads! Cut just about perfectly to fit, they're much more comfortable than the original pads (much thicker), and the extra velcro dots are handy for supplementing the rather tiny velcro on the helmet.

They fit in the helmet exactly right. They are a little thicken than factory pads. Just what I needed and I am “between” sizes on Giro helmets. Small is too small and the medium I have is just a smidgen too big

I was skeptical about the comfort of these, especially knowing that the OEM pads in my helmet were much thinner. I expected these to make the fit of my helmet so tight that it would be uncomfortable. Used them yesterday for the first time and I am extremely pleased. Not sure how durable they are, but they are very cushion-y, comfortable, easy to install, and they include extra velcro tabs if you need to add more than already exists in the helmet (I didn't). Get these if you are considering replacing your worn out pads in your Giro Atmos helmet.

I am writing this review having just received this product and taking one group ride. My helmet feels like a brand new helmet (actually a little better as these pads are much thicker than the OEM pads). I really prefer these pads over the original ones. It was time to replace the original ones, and I actually forgot that Giro had included 2 sets (found them after I ordered these). But, I am glad that I had forgotten that Giro included a replacement set. These provide much more cushion. Helmet is more comfortable with these vs. the OEM pads. Time will tell as to how well they hold up, but very satisfied so far. I did have to tweak the helmet sizing (loosened up the Roc-Loc and chin straps) to accommodate the new pads. But, IMO, that was no big deal.

With 1 year of use, 4K miles and several gallons of sweat-soaking, I'd give these 5 stars. They're cheap, give the helmet a nice secure fit and have held up well. I rinse them out in the sink after every use since I sweat like...you know what. They started to delaminate slightly but are still fully functional and have maintained their thickness. Just ordered some Cool Max pads to give them a try thinking they might be a little cooler, but I can't think of any reason not to give these 5 stars.
