Inconsistency
I don't know if this is for all rotring leads, but these are very inconsistent. Some are silky smooth with dark colour, then others are extremely plastic-like, even making plastic sounds when writing and almost no graphite is placed on the paper. About one in every 3 leads I use I have to through away because it is painful to write.
