I think this is a great PTZ camera for the money! The video quality is stunning. This is my first PTZ camera and there is a lot to figure out! There are so many settings to get right and it can be overwhelming at first. Be patient and it will be worth it! I originally mounted this camera on the front of my office but realized very quickly that it should be mounted on a pole above the building to get the best coverage. I'm in the process of getting that done and will provide pictures when I finish.I found out the wires that come attached to the camera were not quite long enough to go through the mounting arm and all the way through the wall on the inside of my office. (Short by only a few inches) I had to cut a larger access hole in the sheet rock to make the connections necessary. Making the wires even 6 inches longer may help others with this problem.I should also mention that my DVR only recorded at a resolution of 720x480 pixels (D1) and I may upgrade in the future to a higher resolution DVR. This may be the time to upgrade your DVR if you're wanting to record at the resolution this camera is capable.I also had a difficult time with my DVR and being able to get into the PTZ On Screen Display (OSD) settings through my DVR. Once you call up preset 95, I could see the settings. However, using the remote control or mouse, I wan unable to select any of these settings! (You're supposed to use the "iris open" on the controls but nothing I selected would work) By just playing around myself, I figured out I could do this by using the software on my PC that came with my DVR. Finally, selecting the "iris open" button on the PC software did the trick!I'd also like to mention that the support for this camera has been amazing! They will respond to your email very quickly and always polite. I've been working with Olivia and she's been very patient and extremely generous by offering extension cables to help with my situation.This is a beautiful camera for the price and it really looks sharp at night! I highly recommend mounting high so you can get the very best coverage and really utilize the PTZ capabilities.This is a great high quality camera packed with features!
