Definitely a sturdy mount and the design is good. Tried to do what I could to not modify the stock but ended up counter-sinking the inside of the stock. I drilled out the rivets to allow for the screws to pass through and to keep the structural support of the stock. Looks great and is very sturdy. Definitely a good option given the lack of other options for a bipod mount for the M1a.

Loved it but I don't like the fact I have to modify my stock. So I returned it.*****Update: After reading a few comments, I read one comment where a member brought two-set screws instead of drilling the rivets out. I decided to give this a try before returning the item. Well,............ What do you know it worked like a charm. I set the screws with lock trite. I brought the screws from Home Depot {Socket Set Screws #10-32x1/2in_Stainless Steel}. For me this is a awesome option. I will leave a update after I throw a few rounds down range. I just Love Amazon.

Didn’t want to go with magpul for our M1a, found this Picatinny rail that allowed us to keep the sling mount. Perfect! Now we me and my dad messed up buying a magpul 5 slot for a light mount and really regret it now. Sadlak industries is a bit exspensive, but you get why you pay for. The installation is a lot easier. Making it where you mount the screws from the inside of the frame instead of coming from the outside(magpul), not allowing the upper to sit flush. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE FOR YOUR M1A

I bought this adapter to mount a bipod on my Springfield M1A. Followed the directions exactly and it didn't fit my stock. The contour of the bevel on the stock side of the mount does not match my rifle stock. This creates a massive gap between the mouth and the rifle stock. See attached photos. This is not just unsightly but dangerous and potentially damaging. Returning for a refund but I already drilled out my front sling mount so now I have to fix that too.

Happy with the product but it took way too long to get here.

Product Quality is top notch, Tight fit and easy install with no modification on my M1A socom 16 with synthetic stock. Definitely worth the money.

This sold light weight bipod rail fits my M1A1 like a glove. I haven't even put lock tight on it yet and it has held out on the range like a champ. Great product and fast delivery.
