So easy to grow!Northeast IL - Zone 6A - it's been a mild summer with lots of rain in July and lots of sunshine in August.I started seeds in starter trays on a warming mat in late June. They germinated with a couple of days, and started growing quickly. I decided not to thin them, but in hindsight I probably should have. I planted the seedlings after about a week inside near a window, and as soon as they got that regular sunshine they started growing like crazy! I had to stake them when they got to 2 feet, because they were starting to fall under their own weight. I didn't pinch them because they were so close together. They all survived! The flowers range from 2" to 4" diameter, starting a bit green and opening to a gorgeous white with bright yellow stamens. I was kind of expecting the petals to be fuller, but my goal was a bright white for my red and white bed and these definitely find their way to a nice pure white. The plants are about 4 feet tall. I haven't deadheaded them yet, so I don't know whether they'll get taller before the end of summer.Next year, I'll plant them a bit earlier and further apart from each other so that I can pinch them and get more flowers going.

I direct sowed this summer and they were big and beautiful! Saved seeds for next year

Fast germination.

These seeds barely grew, and the flowers are so tiny, but you can barely see them in the garden. I do not recommend buying this.

Ordered the "Seed Needs, Polar Bear White Zinnia Seeds - 250 Heirloom Flower Seeds for Planting Zinnia elegans - Attracts bumblebees, Honeybees & Butterflies" and followed planting instructions to a tee. Sadly, not a single plant germinated. Win some, but in this case, lost all...

I put 1-4 seeds randomly in pots with annuals and they grew easily and tall, each seed produced a large stem with 4 off shoots. Tokerated mussed watering and came back
