Culinary Corner Ice Ball/Sphere Mold Set, (2 pack)

The units feel sturdy and have a good amount of silicone to maintain shape. One ball works excellent and formed a perfect circle, the other ball didn't have the same secure fit and half go the water leaked out which isn't great. I cleaned it up and tried again but used electrical tape to form a seal around it on the second time. That did the trick and it worked well, but I am not exactly thrilled that I need to tape it. I should have returned it but used it a couple of times and it will get me by. These are an improvement over the ones that allow you to make multiple ice balls at one time because the thinner silicone models will lose some water in the filling up process because you have to use multiple hands to plug the holes while draining. The individual ball are the way to go for the perfect look. I have a reverse osmosis kit with DI for my saltwater tank so I don't have to use the boil the water twice method to get the crystal clear ice ball look they show you on the packages. Not required but just a tip!

The mold set feels heavy and durable. Take note that the bottom half is thicker that the top half due to the flat feature on the bottom half. The flat feature keeps it from rolling, but added some thickness to the mold. After using them once or twice, the mold will tend to leak at the seams, so be prepared. I have to use some duct tape (or other tape that will handle moisture and freezing temperature) to keep the mold from leaking in the freezer. Be sure to place them on a tray or plate in the freezer.

They arrived on time and undamaged. One ball worked fine, the other didn't seem to want to close right and some water leaked. It still formed the ball shape as it froze just not smooth like its supposed to. I think the other back has a dent on the top because I didn't make sure that it was completely full before freezing, but it also its easy to fill it without it leaking

As a sucker for pinterest fads, I'm making bath bombs for christmas. So I bought these as a mold. Its nice because you can do two at once and they were cheaper than the metal molds. So far my bath bomb recipes have been so-so (some fails) but the ones that have come out well enough to try the mold it works great! I put a rubber band to hold it tightly in place and it's easy to pull the silicon mold off when it's ready.

Works great for the price. Although, the ice does break apart after a while in whatever liquid you put it in, I've seen others that just melt spherically. But this one splits into two for whatever reason.

Great ice mold. Keeps frozen longer than small cubes due to it's size and doesn't smack you in the lips with every sip...I refrained from 5 stars because it's a little larger sphere than I like.

Purchased as part of an experiment for making clear ice. Still remains a work in progress. Good product overall, purchased from a fine retailer.

Due to the packaging, they were not shaped correctly when they arrived. Being circular, they needed to fit correctly to create a proper seal. Well, they did not and leaked all over my freezer. I have tried to shape them back to their original form with not much luck.
