Not the Same God: Is the Qur'anic Allah the Lord God of the Bible?

This former Muslim has written a very important book for Christians who want to understand the differences between Islam and their own faith. Sam Solomon says the differences are significant. Want to "build a bridge" to Muslims? They have already build that bridge to lead Christians to Islam. It is their message of "A Common Word." But read this book and this former Muslim Imam will explain that the two religions are not compatible. They are very different even though both assert a belief in one God.

The book is not easy to read, until one realizes that it was written for Muslims by two men intimately familiar with both the Koran and the Haddith - - - both necessary and infallible books in Muslim piety and world view. Once the reader reads it, the book clearly shows the undeniable fact that Muslims worship and obey a different God than Christians and Jews do. The reader is given a clear view of the Muslim teaching of revelation and sacred texts in contrast to the Judeo-Christian view of Old and New Testaments. The authors reveal the Islamic understanding of who God is, by their appeal to only the Koran and the Haddith.

This is a wonderful read. If only more people would read such a book.
