If you are lucky enough to receive this in tact you will really find them comfortable and lovely. However, we had to buy 3 chairs to have enough unbroken parts for 2 chairs. They preassemble 4 joints of each chair with dowel rods and glue. The dowels were broken inside the joints which made them impossible to repair. The third chair had broken parts also but we were able to repair that joint. Long story short... buy an extra chair use the parts and then ship one package back.

Three hands needed to assemble. One screw hole needed a bit of tugging and man-power to get it to fit, as it didn't line up quite right, All in ali, once assembled it seems to be holding up well.

I was very impressed with the design of this chair. Putting it together was a different matter. The first chair I received could not be fully assembled because 2 of the screws would not connect with the holes they were designed to go into. I tried, as one reviewer suggested, to use a drill, and that didn't work either. The second chair that was sent to me had a screw that could not be tightened properly, no matter what I tried. Now that I have had the chair with its missing screw for a few weeks, I've noticed that the rope on the seat is starting to loosen and sag. I doubt this chair will last to the end of the season. Buyer beware.

It’s a very stylish chair! Sturdy and comfortable for a pretty reasonable price. Easy to assemble. I actually ended up gluing all the connections in addition to the provided hardware. I feel like it’s more sturdy because of this. The ottoman is great as well. Love it!

I ordered this chair twice and both times it arrived in perfect packaging but with the leg broken off. So someone in the factory is the problem. Repackaging it to return was a REAL NUISANCE!! Amazon was not helpful!! Do not order this chair - too bad because it looked sturdy and great!

Poor quality wood. Packaging was okay. Chair arrived in pieces. I had to return the chair! I would not recommend this chair.

Beautiful chair and ottoman! This arrived double boxed, it is made in Vietnam. It’s easy to put together and it comes with two wrenches so we assembled it together in no time. The diagrams and instructions are very easy to follow. We did need a wratchet for the bottom cross braces, we could not turn the screws all the way with the little wrenches included. Also, one of the bottom cross braces had a knot on the end that split when the screw was tightened, just a flaw in this particular piece of wood, we turned it to the bottom, you can’t see it and the chair is very solid. I love the woven cord, it is smooth and thick and very well woven. The wood is smooth to the touch also and has a light white wash in the grain. This works well in our Mid Century house, we are using it inside. It would work in many styles of decor, I can see this in a Nantucket nautical theme too. It is comfortable, it leans you back in a reclined slouch position and your head rests on the back of the chair nicely and I am 5’ 10”. I really like this set and the price was very reasonable for the quality. I would recommend it.
