This tiny gadget is remarkable. I have recently been afflicted with tinnitus, out of the blue; I find it irritating rather than seriously unpleasant. The irritation occurs almost entirely at night, when I am trying to get to sleep. This device solves the problem. There are 24 different sound tracks: lots of watery ones, streams, waterfalls etc., which chiefly make me want the loo! White, pink or grey noise. Some rather bizarre ones: a thunderstorm, wishy-washy musical ones, chirpy ones (birds, crickets) and one of wind in the mountains which is exactly like my own dear tinnitus. It’s all a matter of taste, of course, and the ones that work best for me are of surf, and there are five of these. The scope for controlling the volume is excellent, and you can also control the amount of time for tracks. I find it amazing that such a small piece of equipment can do so much, so efficiently. I’m off to sleep in no time at all. Thank you, Oasis.

When it comes to white noise machines for tinnitus, I think it comes down to the pitch of noise to whether it is going to work for you or not. For me this hasn't worked, it's not blocking the hum. Whereas the lumi white noise machine does block the noise, but it's not portable. As I'm currently attempting to completely block the hum 24/7 in the hope my brain will stop hearing it, I'm going to have to send this back.
