Not as informative as I'd hoped
There were quite a number of typos. I was hoping for far more information than what it gives.

Container gardening even for the beginner!
This is a great book for beginner gardeners or gardeners who have never delved into growing herbs. There is some great information in this book, that even I (black thumb right here) could follow! The author discusses the benefits of various herbs and their uses. There is great information regarding how to properly plan you container gardening including soil or substitute choices, container choices, location, and planting timelines. The author does a great job teaching how to care for your container garden as well as how to preserve and use the herbs once they are full grown. There is also a great section of the book regarding common problems that people may encounter when grown or preserving herbs.

I already knew that plants like water and that there are different kinds of soil ...
Basic book on topics such as types of containers. Not at all what I was looking for. I already knew that plants like water and that there are different kinds of soil medium for potted plants. I was looking for something that would help me plan a container gardens.

Disappointing
If you've never planted a plant on your life this book might be helpful. It basically skims over the most basic aspects of planting, and then devotes the last quarter of the book to how to dry herbs and use them in medicinal teas. I really wanted more in-depth treatment of individual herbs and their requirements. Oh well, for $4 I guess it's the best you can expect.

Not a bad book at all!
Very informative book, starts out by telling you about the types of herbs you can grow in containers, to how beneficial gardening is for your soul, moves onto how useful herbs are for your health and different ways to use them. I presume the reviewers who found it unhelpful and basic are absolute experts in container gardening already but as for the rest of us - not a bad book at all!
