Currently using these in my sponge filters and it seems to be doing fantastic. If arranged right they provide a lot of surface area without taking much away from the flow.

A little smaller than I expected however the amount in the package and the surface in each piece is more than enough to colonize and keep your aquarium Crystal clear and clean.

I love that these bio max filter out small impurities as well as they do!

It does tend to encourage Diatom Algae, and I'm finding it's taking a while for the algae to recede.

Honestly I love it so happy my fish tank is super clean and my fish looks super happy

Perfect sized rings for my mini HOB filter.I recently got the Penn-Plax Cascade 20 power filter for my 7.5 gal aquarium. It’s a tiny little thing with not much room to hot-rod your media. Wish there was something smaller, but these rings are good enough. Was able to fit able a handful into the compartment. Given that, I’ve got more than enough left over to last me at least the next year or two.Remember to rinse the rings before use! They come quite dusty.

Bought this to optimize my Aqueon quiet flow 10 HOB filter. I replaced the built in replacement filter slot with one bag of this product. The amount perfectly into the back slot with a mesh bag.Tank is fully cycled now for a month with no issues. Cannot speak to long term reliability.Would recommend rinsing extra well (at least 3 - 4 times until water runs clear).
