Sesame Street Music Player Storybook: Collector's Edition Hardcover – September 16, 2014

If you want to have the best gift, have fun while reading, learning songs and practicing fine motor skills, this is the book for you!! My sons grew up loving this book/ cD player. I’ve bought it for gifts many times!! All the kids love this as a gift!!

My Grandson turned 1 in July. Bright colors, recognizable songs and characters. Not only visually appealing but it has stories and songs and very durable parts!!

I bought two of these for our 17 month old twin grand babies. The player is the perfect size for them to carry around and they especially love that it has their favorite Sesame Street character, Elmo, on the front. Unfortunately, as much as they love it, they also get frustrated with it rather quickly for a number of reasons. First of all, it only plays one song at a time and then you have to push the play button for the next song. Inevitably, they push the eject button and the disc falls out. They try really hard to put the disc back in, but it's a little tricky to line it up perfectly, so they either bring it to me or give up. They do keep going back to it though, so I think it is something they might grow into, assuming they still love Sesame Street when they're a little older.

My active and always on the go three-year-old enjoys putting the discs in and following along with the pages in the book. The discs play the instrumental version of the songs in the book. I probably know about 3/4 of the songs; my son about 1/4, but he enjoys trying to sing with me.I saw it originally at Target for about $20 and bought it off Amazon for $10. This is one the few activities my son will sit down and actively participate in without wanting to throw, destroy it, or run away from so yeah, this was an awesome buy.

Awesome toddler music player! Paid sale price but it would definitely be worth full price. Basic STOP, OPEN, and PLAY buttons. There are 4 discs and each disc plays 6 songs, a mix of some Sesame Street and classic kid tunes. They’re midi songs so just the melodies. The player is sturdy and can be detached from the lyric book. We leave it attached to make it more stable and easier to operate the player. My toddler loves being able to press the buttons, choosing the disc, centering it in the player, picking songs, and singing and dancing along using the book. So many logic and fine motor skills at work, not to mention music recognition. One of our best purchases, especially for the price!

I thought the music would be actually singing.. but it’s was just the rhythm. No singing .
