Breaking New Ground
Finally, something about coaching that takes me under the surface cliches to a deep understanding of both practice and theory. While the book focuses on coaching, my understanding of a wide variety of other issues was enriched at the same time, including: systems thinking, the emotional underpinnings of roles and organizations, and the challenges facing organizations today. This is definitely the best thing out on coaching. I especially liked the fact that each chapter recounted actual cases that illustrated the ideas beautifully. And while each author takes a somewhat different tack, there is an overall frame of reference that ties them together.I recommend this book heartily for anyone interested either in coaching or in contemporary organizations.

The emperor's new clothes
To me, this is one of those would-be coaching books, offering platitudes as if they had invented the wheel. What a waste of money... :-(
