An interesting, and entertaining read.
This story wasted no time pulling me into the plot and keeping me there. Moving from one scenario to another, then bringing it all home in the end. Was it her best work? No. But still a good read.

As close to Sheldon as you would like.
I started reading Sidney Sheldon books after exhausting Harrold Robbins. It was a long time ago, give me a break.I had wondered what had become of this writer, now I know. The main thing I remember was the howling fast pace of his books, so fast the pages nearly caught fire.Coming across this new batch I had to dive in. Tilly Bagshawe?Ok! Ok! Hang on! Yup, the pace is well up to Sheldon's speed as is the storyline if not a little more so. As if the man were alive to be writing today, Tilly has captured everything that Sheldon was known for and I have been more than well pleased with this book, "Angel of the Dark", currently halfway through my next, "The Silent Widow".My thanks to Tilly Bagshawe for keeping Sidney Sheldon 'alive'. A blast from my reading past rekindled big time.As for the story, ah go buy the book.Okay. International murders of seriously wealthy men that start off in the States, on to Europe, and the Far East. An added bonus was the insight into the workings of Interpol. I can't think of anyone that has brought that organisation onto the pages of a novel before to this degree. To sum up.Think of Steve McQueen in "The Great Escape" with his cohorts sampling the moonshine they brew - wow.

Fun Read (Quite an experience)
I absolutely hate the epilogue of the book. It leaves you scratching your head and thinking about the book for days to follow, but overall it's a really good book. It's a very mysterious book about two men working together to find a serial killer, but everything is more complex than it seems. The whole book leaves the reader guessing and wondering and has some very fast paced scenes. The good thing is that the book isn't too exciting or riveting, so anyone who wants to read it shouldn't be afraid that the book might be too much of an emotional roller coaster, but it isn't too little of an emotional roller coast either. It's just the right amount of drama, action, mystery, and emotion.

Mystery, Love, Law equal an awesome read.
Great reading. Many twist and turns. Always wondering where the next page will take you. You never know…until the end. And you will still have questions.

Surprise ! Surprise ! Surprise !
True to Sidney Sheldon a fan I am , I have never been disappointed by his stories . He leads you in one or two directions only to surprise you when you find out that the path you are on is in fact ( lol surprise ! ) the wrong path with so many twists and turns he keeps you guessing to the very end ? If you like surprises ? You'll love this story. Thank you , Sidney for another great read !!!!!

Angel of the DARK
i have bought ALL sidney sheldon's books. and now e books. while this book is good, THEY should not be mixing with what the REAL SIDNEY SHELDON masterpieces. for all i care, tilley bagshawe can have her own books...she has her own style... THE REAL SIDNEY SHELDON HAS THE SIGNATURE THAT A BOOK EVEN WITHOUT AN AUTHOR i can tell who has written it because of its plotting, twist that make the adrenaline rush just flipping the pages. IMMERSED WITH TOTAL transport back in the scene described the author.and there is one book that sidney sheldon has endorsed..QUEENIE by Michael KORDA..

Had me hooked
When detective Danny McGuire arrives at the scene of a gruesome Hollywood homicide, he has no idea that this is just the beginning in a bloody series of worldwide murders. The old rich millionaire husband has been brutally murdered in his own home, his beautiful young wife has been beaten and raped and none of the servants are able to provide any information to assist the investigation. The young wife soon vanishes, once she has left the fortune she has inherited to charity. It is a pattern that will repeat itself in the future, with police unable to shed any light upon the bloody slayings. Until a chance meeting intrigues Danny McGuire, now an Interpol officer in France, to reopen the case once again. A story of love, control and betrayal, as a monster with unquenchable bloodlust, strikes time after time. Had me hooked.

ANGEL OF THE DARK
When Detective Danny McGuire is called to the Hollywood home of the very wealthy art dealer Andrew Jakes he is horrified by the sight that greets him, Andrew has been brutally murdered and his beautiful young wife Angela raped. A tormented Danny is determined to find the man who committed this crime, but the case is closed when Angela disappears never to be found and there are no more leads to follow, leaving Danny haunted by this unsolved mystery. Many years later Matt Daley decides to write a documentary on Andrew Jakes, his biological father, but the man he never knew. After much research he discovers that there have been other murders committed in exactly the same way, rich men being killed, their young wives raped and then vanishing.Matt contacts Detective McGuire who is now living in France, married and working for Interpol, but he has never forgotten the tragic Angela Jakes and now the case appears to be coming to the surface again. Enjoyed this book, although not quite up to the standard of the late Sidney Sheldon it was still a good read.

A gripping tale of betrayal, control and abuse..and the tenacity of one detective.
Four horrific murders, same MO. Dead old, decrepit, mega rich husbands but always the devastatingly beautiful, angelic looking wife is left to live, despite being raped and injured beyond reason.Four murders accross more than a decade and four continents. Why? How?Every time, the surviving wife gives her husband's money (she is usually the sole beneficiary in the will) to charities and disappear. Why? How? The answer is in the eyes of the woman. But will detective McGuire find out?The plot is definitely from Sidney Sheldon. Totally machiavellic. But if Ms Bagshawe is a good writer in her own right, Mr Sheldon was a master story teller. His writing was suave and you loved the author as much as the characters. Mr Sheldon always made his leading ladies glamorous, strong, highly intelligent but with a look of vulnerability (and the leading man were fools to fell for this) and you could, without exception, while reading his books, become that heroine. While reading the book, you were ''her''. And you could see clearly the thinking minds of all other characters. Such was the genie of the well missed Mr Sheldon. But I have enjoyed Sidney Sheldon's Angel of the Dark . It is a gripping tale of betrayal, sadness, control and abuse. And of the tenacity and determination of one detective to find out the truth. I did not expect the twist at the end , even though I had my suspicions that the lady was not as innocent and lost as she looked.I will definitely buy the rest of Mr Sheldon's books written by Ms Tilly Bagshawe but I will read them not as from Mr Sheldon but as Ms Bagshawe's. Like this, I shall enjoy them more. But well done to you, Ms Bagshawe, it was never easy to follow in the footsteps of one of the Masters. Sidney Sheldon's Angel of the Dark

Sidney Sheldon was my favourite author, and I believe I have read every piece of his work that was published for the public to read. I was intrigued to see what this 'TillyBagshawe' had to offer. For me...its a con....her work doesn't compare to the master of intrigue....I believe this person is making money under false pretences....I found the storyline confusing, disappointing....and unworthy of association to the great Sidney Sheldon.

Typical Sheldon
Well written in that easy style of Sheldon that makes it a pleasure to read. Perhaps the only downside is that their are 2 lead male main characters that can be a bit distracting. However, brilliant story & surprise ending. As usual Sheldon's characters are intelligent, gorgeous & charismatic, which he describes wonderfully without being flowery. If you like grit Sheldon will disappoint, but if you like escapism his writing consumes you very quickly & fills the imagination vividly. I preferred his The sands of time but this book was very good.
