The media could not be loaded.  This is my forth camera, I now have two in the front and two in the back of the house. And I'd say that this is up there with the best of them. I can't get this to work with CamHi (yet), but that's about the only downside. Installation was straightforward, download the app, a short registration process, and enter your wifi password. Turn on the camera and move the phone in front of the camera so it can read the QR Code, and you're done. No fuss, no router connections, and no battling with settings. The only cable is the power lead, which has a convenient break connector towards the camera end so you can feed it through a wall. Anyone with very basic skills could extend this simply, with a length of 12v cable and a couple of connector blocks, but it wasn't necessary for me as it's place quite close to a socket. Video quality is very good, expecially in HD, and the sensor detects movement to a sensible distance. To top it off, the price was lower than each of the previous three camera too, and the SmartLife app works with a whole array of devices, such as plugs, lights and so on.

This camera does appear to be nicely made though not particularly substantial. Like most, it is very easy to register and set up. The picture quality is good both day and night. WiFi connection between app and camera is good. The mount is very flexible with lateral and rotational adjustment. The 110 degree horizontal field is good but the vertical field is more limited by the mount. Notification of a detected entry is quick and the recorded video appears to well cover the incident.The associated app, Smart Life is in the main as good and in parts better, than others I have used except - accessing recorded video is a really painful process! Notification is good and alarm recordings made are listed showing an image and the date/time of recording. However there is no direct link to the recording on the sd card. To find it, you have to hunt for that date/time on a time bar that is both difficult to read (grey text on a black background) and manipulate. Having found the recording, there is no forward/backwards scroll. The recording is encrypted so the card cannot be read other than through the app. To get a copy, you must find and run the playback and while running, use the video recording option to create an mp4 copy of the playback that you can then export. I am told by Tuya the app creator that there is a direct link if you buy into cloud storage. I'd give the app no more than three stars because of a this really poor function. The camera seller has told me there is no alternative app.In summary, a nice camera that deserves a better app. For the moment I'll stay with it and see if I can accept the failings of the app.Additional: Within the bowels of the app there is the option to have continuous or 'event recording'. The default is continuous. Without a guide to the app, it was something I had not found though support had directed me to it. The change to just recording events makes finding it in playback significantly easier. While it improves my opinion of the app, I still believe there is room for improvement in that area.

I bought this for my father who is having problems with teenagers hanging around his street. He is not very well and it’s making him nervous so I bought this so he can relax knowing he is protected by cctv when he is home or out. The app was really easy to install - the clarity of picture he says is faultless and the nigh cam is really clear! so that’s good to know. He doesn’t have Alexa he isn’t technical like that, he just uses the free app. I think he’s planning in signing up for the optional cloud storage because when he goes to hospital for his treatments he can keep a copy and go back to view it later should he need too. Overall for the price this is a right bargain compared to other ‘branded’ cctv. Oh and he only just realised you can talk through the microphone lol. Apparently the postie jumped out of her skin lol. Very happy dad...very happy daughter. Thanks.

The camera was easy to fit and set up and works well with the app.However !! The cable from the camera is split and joined with a jack socket /plug to the power pack. This section of cable is very short. As this is an outside camera I feel that the lead should be much much longer allowing the join in the cable from the camera to be taken inside before joining with the power plug.Keeping in mind that most people will set the camera reasonably high and a fair distance from a power socket, there simply isnt enough cable to allow a neat fitting.The camera triggers with movement well but not a lot of range to it. I pointed the camera up the garden to keep an eye on the garage however it will not trigger at the garage only closer to the camera.Overall not bad for the price but it does have its limitations.I would buy one again if -1) Power socket was near to the camera and I could route the jack plug inside2) I was wanting to monitor close to the camera

There are many things that I like about this camera, apart from the standard features:- very light and small - this makes it easy to maneuver and install- long power cable - although some people commented that there wasn't enough cable I found it was very generous - 3,5 meters- easy to install via app and also work with Alexa!!!- the camera (gray area) rotates at 360 degrees and back so you can adjust as necessary for a better view- I have space for micro SD card to record 24h- switches smoothly from the day vision to night vision and doesn't get confusedThe main downside is that the camera is pricey but for me it was worth it.
