Driving My Tractor (Barefoot Singalongs) Paperback – Picture Book, March 1, 2012

Great book, we bought several more by this publisher after reading it (none quite as good as this one though). We don’t have a CD player so I dumped the CD but went to the barefoot books website and listen to the song there - I appreciate the video has the same pictures as the book but sort of moving which is cool. My kids (3 and 6) love the song and love singing along as we read the book. Pictures are well drawn and I appreciate the foreshadowing in them (you can see the pigs tail the page before the pigs arrive) and the seasons changing - gives us more to talk about as we discuss the book together. My 3 yo daughter likes practicing counting by counting the animals and likes changing her voice to “sad voice” once the animals are lost (and happy voice once found!). Sturdy book, solid pages that resist a toddler’s damage, bright colors. She also likes the pages at the end that describe the different farm equipment and crops.

Enjoyable for all the family. My three children, aged 2, 4 & 6 all loved it. The boppy background music on the cd makes the story even better. Great education with animal names and sounds as well as counting. Watching my children enjoy a book so much gives me extreme pleasure and joy. They just want to hear it over and over again. My eldest knows the words off by heart and my four year old is not far off it either. So when the cd is playing the third part, which is just the background music with no author reading it, my children say the words themselves, which is great for their memory too. Fantasic book. Don't know what else to say, except that I highly recommend it. I wish I had a video review for you to see, as my 2 year old has a toy red tractor ride on, and he scoots around the house singing "moo moo moo, it's a very busy day". It is so cute. Great Book!

I bought this for a grandson who loves the puzzle of this story. He loves the story and the song!

My 2-year-old grandson loves this book and CD. It is a cheerful, repetitive song that includes farm animal names and counting 1-5. It also has a happy ending! My students in my preschool class (3's) enjoyed this book too. Highly recommended.

I found this book as a video on YouTube and my 21 month old daughter, my husband and I all loved it so much we bought the book! We have had this book for about 2 1/2 weeks now and I read it at least 4 times everyday and whenever we see a tractor we break out in the song. Such a great little song/story with sweet pictures and at the end it shows different types of tractors/machines used on the farm as well as many crops. We love this book and will be buying more for gifts as well as other titles from the author/illustrator :o)

I HIGHLY recommend this book series to people who have autistic children. We had trouble with socializing, with speaking, and what’s great is this book comes with a CD, so the more we played it, with the pictures, the more eye contact we got, the more socializing. There’s also some cartoons of the book on YouTube that our kid loves. I highly recommend for kids on the spectrum.

We got this book from the library a few years ago for our now 5 year old daughter, who loved it. We decided to purchase it for our 11 month old son. Now the whole family enjoys listening to the CD while we read along. FYI: I wanted to know what was actually on the audio CD but couldn't ever find it listed. The tracks are:1. A 1 minute music instrumental and author introduction2. The author singing the book's text along with the music3. The same as track 2, without the author's singing4. A short music instrumental, similar to track 1.

My son is 2 and loves this book/ song! He is singing it all of the time. The picture are so colorful and fun. I highly recommend this book for kids under 6.
