Works for LG TV
Works perfectly. I shoved a soundbar underneath my TV and don't have enough clearance to use the remote to turn the TV on. I have an LG C9 OLED. The remote uses bluetooth for all functions of the tv except for turning on and off, for which it uses an IR blaster.Needless to say, this device is perfect. It didn't work when I used the USB port in the back of the tv, however, it works perfectly when connected to an outlet. It doesn't even need to be very visible to the remote. I have the repeater it facing downward on the back of my TV- not visible at all and still works well.

Don’t bother.
Update: The first IR extender lasted about 2 weeks. I sent it back and the second one didn’t work at all. I’m not bothering with it any more, trying a different type.I ordered the 20' option, it is a little over 15' measured at it's total length including both parts (USB and emitter cords). The device works as intended, make sure the USB side has power all the time if you are using the remote to turn something on - if the device this cable is plugged in to doesn't provide USB power until it's on, the cable won't work to turn that device on.It seems that people are having trouble getting their controlled devices to 'see' the signal from the cable's emitter . If the emitter is stuck directly over the IR receiver of the device being controlled, the double sided tape blocks the infra red light from getting to the device. The emitter must be placed so that the LED inside is exposed to the IR receiving window of the device being controlled. This can be done by placing the emitter on a door or object in front of the device, or by using some clear tape to affix the emitter to the device directly.Overall a good value for the money spent.

Works as intended
Pretty much plug and play. Moved some of my entertainment (Xbox TV Remote, DVD, Cable) equipment to a closet in a room behind the tv. This made it simple to allow everything to work without it having to be right in front of a remote.

Remote works well up to 15 ft.
This is a replacement unit. The first one only lasted 3 days before it failed. I have used this unit for the past 5 weeks and it has worked fine. I closed up my deck for the winter; I will see if it will still work when I fire it up in the spring. The 20 foot wire (actually about 13 ft. from the receiver to the transmitter and about 5 ft. from the transmitter to the USB plug) made it possible to extend the remote from inside my house to the deck.

Perfect solution for those with high profile sound bars
When we purchased our sound bar (pictured) we didn't realize that even with the mount that we purchased for the TV, there wasn't enough clearance for our remote to hit the IR sensor on the TV without a lot of angular calculation. This caused terrible frustration and this was the perfect solution.Set up is easy, simply place the small end where you point the remote and the bigger end where you want to point and it. Then the IR extender simply sends the signal from the big end to the receiver on your TV. The product works exactly as intended. You probably want to get a wall box for the power so that power isn't reliant on the TV's USB. The adhesive on the small end has to fight gravity and had fallen once so, a really firm pressing is necessary otherwise, you will find the small end has fallen (again see picture, small end is upside down.)Great value for the price, the product is virtually perfect with the exception of perhaps a better system for the small end to stick to the tv. Would definitely purchase again if we needed a second.

Instruction suck
It was a real pain to install due to lack of useful instructions. Had to look closely at the one tiny sheet of instructions to even figure out what the receiver and the transmitter was. Did not mention that the green (formerly red) light was lit up on the receiver when power was on. The unit does not work without power. I thought it means the transmitter was successfully sending the signal to the TV. I had connected the USB connector to a port on my TV. Turns out it only has power when the TV is on. Finally figured it out and connected it to a USB port on the Comcast (Xfinity) box to get it to work. There was not phone number with the tiny sheet of instructions to call to get help. When you clicked the link to the vendor, it said you could click an option on Amazon to get them to help but I could not find that option. I almost returned it until I read somebody's answer to a question on the website. Hopefully this will help the next person who tries to install it.

It works
I am using this for my security camera system. I hid the security box underneath the cabinet. This remote extender cable is perfect for my needs. I've had it for several months now, and it works great.
