I'm so glad we stumbled upon this adorable book
I'm so glad we stumbled upon this adorable book! It's a very cute, rhyming tale of a penguin that ultimately finds there is no place like home. Great writing, great pictures, this is now our go-to book for gifts because it's obscure enough that kids probably don't have it, but it feels like a classic once you own it.

Wonderful story and beautiful illustrations
This is now my son's favorite book! The illustrations are beautiful and the story is wonderfully creative. There's a great page that helps us practice counting as well! Highly recommend it.

Cute adventure story with a blue penguin and his arctic friends.
Overall the book has a cute adventure story with a blue penguin and his arctic friends as they get blown away far from home. The beginning of the book starts off strong with the rhyming verses, but there are a few parts in the middle where it gets a little choppy, but then it ends strong. There are lots of little details in the illustrations that will keep you looking. ~The Librarian Uncle

www.diapers-and-daydreams.com gives this book 5 Dolly Heads!
An unusually strong gust of wind blows Penguin Blue’s kite up, up and away, taking him along for the ride, soaring into the sky, on this fun and unexpected trip! Blue’s penguin, seal and bear friends try to save him but end up tagging along as well for a journey into the unknown! We watch and giggle as they careen through the air, all dangling dangerously from the kite! Out of the perfectly chilly Antarctic and into a toasty, tropical jungle island they go. Will they be trapped in that steamy climate forever? Can they come up with a plan to be blown away again, this time back home? Will a silly jungle animal find a way to stowaway on board with them?Blown Away, Rob Biddulph’s debut picture book, is a dream to read and candy for the eyes. The haiku-like text is cleverly rhyming. The whimsical illustrations are seemingly on the texture of a canvas, giving it a pixel-y look, which translates to a warm, vintage feel. The collage-look of the illustrations enables Biddulph to tell many great visual jokes (i.e. the line for the icecream truck in the hot jungle) that an older reader will enjoy! The array of blues and greens in Biddulph’s illustrations, mixed with the great flow of the text put you in the perfect trance to make you fall in love with this book!Join Penguin Blue and his fearless friends on their journey! Great book
Our family loves this book and have read it over and over! My daughter (now three, although she was two when we got this book and she enjoyed it at that age as well) loves monkeys and she loves finding the monkey as he sneaks aboard the raft for the home voyage. This story has a fun rhyme and great illustrations.

Cute story!
Synopsis- Penguin Blue has got a new kite, and he’s excited to try it out. There’s just one problem – the wind is too strong! Not only does Blue get blown away, but also his well-meaning friends! What can a penguin do?What I Thought- This was a cute picture book. I really like how there is an unrealistic touch to it, that can be humorously explained. The illustrations are really well-done, and add a lot of humor to the story. They are simple, but have just the right amount of detail in them. The story is told in a nice, playful rhyme. I think that this would make a great bedtime book, as well as a great sunny day book, rainy day book, and after-after-school-snack book, to name a few! I highly recommend this book!*NOTE* I got a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Amazing Illustrations
This is a silly hardcover picture book about a penguin and polar bears adventure. The penguin wants to fly so he tries, but he of course can't fly. He goes all over until he is finally safe at home and ready for bed. This is a perfect book for bedtime, as I tell my kids they need to go to bed like the penguin did. The ending has a super silly illustration that always makes us laugh. We actually make up a new story on what we think happens each night from the ending. The illustrations are amazing and so bright and colorful.

Love Rob Biddulph and so do my 2
Love Rob Biddulph and so do my 2.5 year old twins. The stories are entertaining, they have a lovely cadence for the story teller and are easy to follow for small kids. The rhythm of the writing makes them great too for memorizing, if you are so inclined, which at least helps me when on the go and not having a book around. We are a multilingual family, with English as a 3rd language, and I have noticed TONS of new English words because of these books.

Ok for a 2/3 year old
Bought for my 6 year old granddaughter but much too babyish for her. Obviously for younger children so will keep it for my nephew’s daughter who will be 2 soon. Very misleading information!

Brilliant
Not my favourite of Rob Biddulph's books but still leaps and bounds ahead of most of the stuff published for children. Love it, and a nice short length - important to have a few of those up your sleeve for the "just one more story" moments...
