The Journey of Tunuri and the Blue Deer: A Huichol Indian Story

Absolutely love this book. My son is only 5 months old yet the gorgeous, colorful art of this book captivates him and grabs his attention till the end. He even screams with excitement when I read it to him, especially with father Sun :). The Journey of Tunuri and the Blue Deer is a wonderful story that even adults will enjoy. As a fan of Huichol art and culture I really enjoyed the way the story is told and the yarn paintings. As a graphic designer I thought it was beautifully laid out. I purchased a couple of books to gift to friends with kids.

Wonderful story, I love the illustrations, they almost look like the real yarn frames that Hucholes make.

I bought the book either for school or as a reference. Its good. I can't believe they require a minimum amount of words. Crazy. They want an opinion and then ask for so many words. What are they nuts!

Huichol indian stories...primitive indians know some things about things...

My grandson made a craft called "Eye of God" from the Huichol indian culture. This book helped to explain the spiritual beliefs of these people.
