The Dalai Lama's Little Book of Inner Peace: The Essential Life and Teachings Kindle Edition

I absolutely love this tiny purse/pocket size book. More full of short anecdotes and thoughts than anything else. A great little book to read when you are waiting somewhere and have 5 minutes. Definitely recommend this book for it's portability and thoughtful, positive content.

I only read half of the book his ideas and mine are completely different. When he said that you have to rely only on yourself that is where I stopped. He also talks about the world being over populated. That isn't the problem . Governments that steal the food from the starving. Not allowing capable people to irrigate wastelands. Those are the problems.

The meditation Concepts. Finding inner peace within themselves and with others. Something that everybody needs to think about before reacting or not reacting. Good learning tool. You may find some apps that will help you reset yourself for meditation or other issues.

I agree that if one had to choose one book on Dharma this one does the trick, His Holiness explains so difficult topics in easy to understand language.

I really enjoyed the first part of the book which was more like a Biography of the Dalai Lama which I found fascinating, mainly as I was pretty clueless as to the history. Definitely want to read more about that. The rest of the book was snippets of the sayings and teaching of the Dalai Lama.

The Dalai Lama is the chosen one. His knowledge is amazing in so many different areas. Not just for Buddhism.

The Dalai Lama provides some wonderful words of wisdom while giving insight into his history and the history of Nepal. One cannot go wrong purchasing this book. Nice short stories that can be broken up into small readings each day if one chooses.

Too small for book I thought it will be. Only half of book with some ideas. First half with memories.

Always insightful and this little book is chock full of inspiration. Would definitely recommend

I find that this book will provide me with a great insight into the teaching of Dalai Lama. Dalai Lama's life is summarized into small 2-4 page chapters in order for the reader to gain appreciation into his life and what led to his amazing journey.
