Learning to read
My son is learning to read and it was so frustrating to us both when he'd try and read one of those level 1 learning to read books. Often there are words like shoulder that he struggled to even sound out. He'd usually end up frustrated and defeated. Eventually he stopped trying all together. I found an article discussing the "learning to read" books and the frustration they can cause both parent and reader. The article recommended several books to try and this was one of them. Not only could my son read the book it was so entertaining that he knew what he was reading. I'm so thankful for books like this, helping him read is finally fun!

What WILL Fat Cat sit on?
I adore this book. I love the faces of the various animals as Fat Cat considers sitting on them. I love how the duck offers up the pig. "Will Fat Cat sit on... the DUCK? "SIT ON THE PIG, SIT ON THE PIG!" I love how Fat Cat sits on the chair in the end. Strangely, this normal ending makes everybody laugh! (Sorry for spoiling the ending there.)Easy to read, simple and quick story - love it, love it, love it! Good for kiddos with short attention spans as well as kiddos who are beginning to develop a (slightly) sophisticated sense of humor.

What will fat cat sit on
My daughter loved the book, however the kindle edition was poorly put together. In the paper back edition sometimes the left and right page are combined to create one page. When this happens the kintle shows the pages as one combined image, then shows each page individually. You end up repeating about 3/4 of the book. If you are looking for this book for your child, I would recommend it as a paperback book. If you are interested in the E-Book edition, I would tell you not to purchase it.

Cute book with bright, fun illustrations. Gives a reader plenty of opportunities to use voice inflection, etc. to make the book interesting for a baby when read aloud.
