Kinivo BTH220 Bluetooth Headphones (Black, On-Ear, Wireless Music, Hands-Free Calling, Built-in Mic, Foldable, Memory Form Earpads, Travel Bag)

just got these in today, and I've already got one extremely good pro with these, that not alot of Bluetooth "makers" do when it comes to their products. The first thing ill point out, and by far my favorite feature thus far, is the fact that while these charge u CAN use them still. I've had several BT headsets, and headphones where while it's charging you CANNOT use it, at all. Secondly, being a HUGE music buff, i need good sound. I don't have a full range sound system in my car for no reason. The sound quality of these, listening to more metal/black metal/rock/punk styles of music, is exceptional. It's not horrible, of course its not the best out there, but for the price its not bad at all. It doesn't hit the extreme lows of say some rap/dub but there is still a presence of some moderate level bass. The mid-high range is decent, it does get slightly "scratchy" at extreme volumes but its not horrible. Last thing ill touch on is pairing. It paired quick and easy with my phone, samsung solstice. I did have a slight issue pairing it to my BT dongle on my comp but i realized i didn't have the "official" driver installed for it, which shouldn't have been a issue but it was. Found the disk for it and it paired with no issues, its a SMK-LINK VP6493. As of now there are no issues with this device. I've only given it 4 stars for now to leave, room, for any "early judgement" on the device. I got this more or less for flights as I've been traveling a lot lately. I will update this within the next couple weeks to let you guys know how it does traveling/while working. Edit - 9/24/2012 one thing i forgot to touch on, was how comfortable this was. At first it did seem a little small. it was a little annoying getting my hair around it. However after it was on it wasn't all that uncomfortable. A tad small but it fits and it doesn't "squeeze", and it doesn't yank on my ears. There is a video review for this item that touches on how comfortable this product is and he hits the nail on the head as some would say. edit - 10/13/2012 after a couple weeks, these headphones are still rolling, in most cases they outlast my phone *Samsung solstice* when I'm listening to music. call quality is good, I've only had a few instances where the other person couldn't hear me but I'm not positive if it was the headset as the phones the company i work for use suck, horribly. i use them daily while at work and home, the distance around the house is about 15-20 feet going through 1 or 2 walls, i know of 1 wall in the house that is a solid block wall and any connection *even my routers going through that wall directly to the other side* has issues with thick walls. I've also been on 3 flights with them and had no issues. occasionally however when at work it will cut out for a split second but its nothing to major. I've upped this to 5 stars for now, will keep you guys updated as to full longevity of them in a single use.

UPDATE 6-15-2013: After using these headphones for many many months, I am still very pleased with them overall, EXCEPT for one thing: if I have my phone in my LEFT front pants pocket, then there are certain angles at which I tilt my head that cause the reception to drop momentarily. This does not occur when the phone is in my right front pants pocket. Just to be clear: I do not have an adamantium skeleton like Wolverine, so I can't imagine that my admittedly lanky frame should block the bluetooth signal, but it does. This aside, I use these at my work desk almost every time I receive a call; I turn them on as my phone rings and by the time I answer the call they are up and operative, or at least in the first few seconds of the call. Still highly recommended. --------------------------- I am super impressed with these BT headphones and would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a non-wired solution to listen to music and make calls with ease. They have a nice, solid sound, nothing to sneer at for sure. The instructions say to go through three full charge/discharge cycles on first use to give the battery the longest life... but after literally a full day and half of playing music on these from my iPhone the battery is still going. I even left them on overnight! That included a phone call for over an hour with my dad, who said he could hear me very well with no problems. I only ever had to repeat one word in the whole conversation, but the word was "Sizzler" and without context that's a weird word to hear correctly anyway. Just say "Sizzler" randomly to your neighbor out of the blue: see what I mean? --------------------------- GOOD (or better than good): Price - great quality and features for thirty bucks. Just got a second pair for my wife (shhhh it's for Christmas) for $20 on sale (if you can find this price GET THEM NOW). Audio quality - not audiophile of course, but actually quite good for extended music listening--all frequencies are quite clear and balanced, and I enjoyed my Mozart as much as my Skrillex (yeah, and?); the mic did a great job picking up my voice, both for phone calls and using Siri for voice commands, even if she refuses to comply. Also it is worth noting that these do let in sound from the environment, which I consider a plus, because I have to be able to act like I'm listening to my wife when she talks to me. I was able to listen to my music at a reasonable volume and carry on a conversation at the same time. Battery - maybe it's infinite? In any case, they are STILL going after at least 18+ hours. They say 8 hours of talk time, but with just playing music it may last much longer. I think some of this battery life has to do with a nice built-in algorithm that shuts off the speakers when no sound is being transmitted from the phone/wherever. I noticed that when not playing music but playing Words with Friends, that I could hear a very very subtle turning on and off of the speakers just before and after I would place a tile. I was impressed at how quickly this happened so that the beginning of the sound wasn't clipped off. A nice, subtle touch. Foldy-bits - they have hinges so they can fold up, and come with a svelte drawstring bag (yes, I said svelte; you will too when you feel it for yourself. Practice now: "svelte!" goooood.) ------------------------------------------- NOT QUITE AS GOOD (but definitely not bad): Fit - my only gripe is the way the plastic piece fits over my ears and around my neck; there is some SLIGHT discomfort just above and behind my ears where the greatest pressure is (there is no padding anywhere except on the ear cups). It is noticeable but obviously not very bad because I wore them literally all day long without really caring. I found that depending up on how you tilt them on your head makes a difference in the fit; you can have the part on your neck be either low on your neck (even touching), or raised up higher, so there is a LITTLE bit of room for adjustment. Construction - two very minor issues: 1) when using any of the five buttons on the right earpiece I hear a distinctive "click" noise, but whatever, it's got a nice tactile response so I know I hit the button. 2) when talking/moving my jaw (hey, I wore them all day, including during lunch), my ears move slightly against the ear cups, which produces a very slight crackle sound from the friction. I actually didn't notice it at all when talking on the phone, but if I care to notice I can. This minor noise can be attenuated by adjusting the positioning of the ear cups just a little bit one way or the other. Built-in flood light - okay, so while on, the right ear cup (just inside the silver buttons in the image) has a blue light that is about as bright as the sun, or maybe not the sun, but it is probably brighter than you want. I HAVE YOUR SOLUTION: cut a tiny arc from some black electrical tape to fit over the light. This works great because the light is embedded in a little translucent ring that is just inside the buttons, which still picks up the blue light from the LED so you can see that it is working, but which distributes the light in a much softer and more even way that won't annoy whomever has the fortune to sit directly to your right. Shape - the ear cups are just about an inch thick (but very light), so they stick out from your ears by, well, one inch. This makes you look funny, if you didn't already look funny. ------------ CONCLUSION: Follow the golden rule, take time to relax and be creative, and always accept cookies from your mother. Also, BUY THESE HEADPHONES, because they are pretty amazing and will change your life, or at least make you pleasantly happy (can you be unpleasantly happy?) while you use them.

Je me sert de ce casque pour faire du sport, courir et vélo, il est agréable a porter et il tient bien sur les oreilles, le son est de bonne qualité et il est facile a mettre en service et a utiliser. L'autonomie est plus que correct, je m'en suis servis plus de quatre heure sans le recharger.

Adquirí los auriculares Kinivo BTH220 hace un mes y me han sorprendido muy gratamente. Sincronizan con todos los dispositivos con los que lo he intentado (PS3, PSVITA, teléfono móvil, ordenador) sin ningún problema salvo la PS3, que te pide una clave que es la genérica del aparato, 0000 . Se oyen bastante bien salvo quizas unos graves un poco pobres y el micrófono incorporado cumple de maravilla, según me dicen las personas con las que he mantenido conversaciones tanto por móvil como por PS3, se escucha perfectamente a pesar de su lejana ubicación a la boca. Tienen buena ergonomía y casi no pesan (los he llevado durante más de una hora caminando y sin problema). La duración de la bateria es muy buena y se cargan bastante rápido. Su único contra, por ponerle alguno, es los materiales con los que está fabricado. Dan la sensación que se puede romper con facilidad y los botones toman holgura fácilmente. En resumen, si no te quieres gastar los 60-100€ que te pueden costar unos auriculares bluetooth de buena calidad éstos son una opción muy recomedable.

Kopplung mit dem Handy ging fix, Akku hält bei tägl. Betrieb zwei Monate. Freisprechmodus klappt auch, aber Achtung: bei Druck auf den großen Knopf genau im stillen Moment zwischen zwei Liedern versteht der Kinivo das als Wahlwiederholung, habe ein paarmal früh um fünf meine Familie damit geweckt, muß man halt wissen ;O) Welcher kleine Knopf was macht, hat man sehr schnell raus. Ich trage es im Winter über der Wollmütze, ist immer noch laut genug. Ohne Mütze aber für mich etwas locker. (Basecap?) Hat auch im Regen bisher durchgehalten. Kälte bis mindestens -8 Grad ohne Einfrieren. Achtung, nicht jede Player-App kann gut mit Bluetooth arbeiten. FolderPlayer harmoniert mit dem Kinivo wunderbar.

I have been using this headset for about 3-4 weeks. Minus: I have been told that, unless I speak really loud, the microphone is not very clear and the person at the other end hears me as if I were really far and hears a lot of interference. But I can hear the other person very well. This is the only disadvantage. I am using this headset while running, and I mean, I have run about 20 hours and the headset never moved/shifted. Sound quality and clarity is amazing; base is great too, and I tend to listen to loud dance/pop/electronic music. Headset resists to sweaty ears, so no slipping in the middle of a run(longest run was 1 hr 10). Battery life is very good. I only charged it once fully. Connectivity is great: I use a BlackBerry and the bluetooth connexion was easy to set up. I was able to connect it as well with my playbook. This headset is monkey-proof! I really consider buying another one, and will definitely look at this company's other products. Amazing for the price, cordless quality freedom!
