Best Gay Romance 2015 Paperback – February 17, 2015

one of the reviews says this anthology is not as good as a previous one; i am going to search that book out. i thought this was an amazing anthology, with humor, pathos, intelligence - and a bunch more attributes. there was one science fiction story that was excellent; one western that was among the best i've encountered. i could go on, but anthologies are hard to describe - the editor has done a great job of finding diverse and fascinating short stories.

The quality of the stories is very bad compared to previous years. But for a couple of exceptions, most could have been written by mediocre middle schoolers. Please persuade Richard Labonté to return as editor.

I have a confession to make, this is my first M/M romance and it was well worth the price. The short stories in this book had me smiling non stop and of course, the short hook-ups gave me many WTF moments. I have to say that each and every single one of these shorts novels can be made into full length stories and not one of them would let me down. You can really feel the romance & deep emotion radiating from this book, it is that beautifully written. And there was tons of flirtation and playful conversations. Each one was a quick snippets of the lives of all the couples. I will not go into detail on my favorite two stories since they are very short I do not want to give anything away but they were Matters of the Heart and Flyboy. What a happy day of reading I'v had. Per my admission, I have never read any gay romances before until this so I have a lot of catching up to do, and looking forward to it. Best Gay Romance is another series of anthologies that I go looking for every year. And for 2015, they have a new editor, Felice Picano, to change things up a bit while keeping it just as sweet and dreamy hot. I love what he did with this year’s edition and hope to see him again in 2016. The stories were funny and entertaining like playful, flirtatious repartee over drinks but they also had depth, like a couple with a long history together, willing to still find romance through sickness and in health. Yeah, reading this book is just like holding hands and falling in love.

It would have been great if all the contributors were mentioned on the back cover.Perhaps it's not too late!
