Bricks Bar Sampler Pack- Beef & Turkey

I work in a job that requires long hours in the field and most days there isn't much time to sit and eat a proper meal. I was looking for a snack type thing to have at work that would be quick, healthy, tasty, and last for sometime. I think that this product fits all of those criteria perfectly and more.First, I have to mention the shipping. I purchases these and saw that they were going to be coming across the country via the mail. I thought it would take several days if not over a week to get it to me. The company immediately processed my order and it was here within a two days. I was VERY impressed and the package contained an actual signed letter from someone at the company thanking me for the purchase. I would give this company six stars for customer service if I could.As for the product, I thought it was great. I first noted both the beef and turkey had an expiration date approximately a year away which I love because I can keep them around for awhile.I first tired the beef bar. The only thing I did not like about it was the appearance as it looks rather ugly; however, I didn't really care after tasting it. I expected that since it was health food for it to taste terrible but I was surprised by a rather good beef jerky taste. I didn't taste much of the bacon but the cranberry and seeds were defiantly present with a little spiciness in the beef.I then tried the turkey bar. I was a bit more nervous with this one as I've never had a turkey bar before but it also surprised me as I really liked it also.The bars may be ugly in appearance but that is a very small issue in comparison to the overall quality of the product. Both bars were delicious to eat and I am definitely going to be purchasing more for this product in the future. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for something tasty and healthy to eat on the go.

These are tasty and nutritious. The ingredient list is a bit long though which makes them inconvenient for fussy diets like AIP, or rotation diets. For instance there are seeds and veggies. A simpler jerky with only one or two extra ingredients, would be easier to fit into my plan, though perhaps not as tasty.If you have no strict dietary needs and just want a nutritious snack to keep in your carry-on, glove box, or gym bag, these are perfect! For such a person the extra fruit/veg/seeds add a bit of extra fibre and nutrients.These are quite dry though not difficult to chew. It feels as though they grind or shred jerkey then stick it together into a bar using the added ingredients as glue. A very pleasant texture to me. Chewy enough to keep you entertained awhile but not so chewy that you get impatient with how long it takes to eat it.You'll definitely need a beverage and a toothpick or floss!The flavour is subtle yet pleasant.I was surprised how small they are considering the nutritional content. That makes them very handy for hikers or to keep in one's purse in case of emergency. About the size of a credit card and about a half inch thick. Really convenient size.The only reason I won't be stocking up on these is that my allergist has put me on a strict rotation diet and these have too many ingredients.

These seem to be very well made, but I just personally wasn't a fan of the taste. They were very bland, but I'd prefer them over some of the other nasty tasting bars out there.

These bars are low sugar and are gluten/dairy free, which is wonderful. But they are extremely dry (almost crumbly) and don't have much flavor. I love that they are paleo-compatible but the texture and flavor are lacking. The company provides quick shipping and they have a great vision for the product, but these bars are not "great."

This bar was dry, hard to bite and tough to chew..."like a brick", actually. There was also a little desiccant packet in it to make it even more dry. I was hoping for something different and looking for something to alternate with the Epic bars I've been eating. Glad I ordered the sample pack instead of an entire box. This bar is not for me...the description sounded delicious but the bars were a disappointment...too dry, too tough to chew. Maybe they should eliminate the dessicant packet so it could be more edible.

The beef one is great, but the turkey one was hard to get through, over spiced in my mind.

These ROCK! I have to follow a gluten free diet and try hard to maintain a Paleo lifestyle. In doing so I spend a fair amount of time saying, hmm what can I eat for a snack? That's when I reach for one of these great bars! Moist, tasty, just the right amount of spice. Very satisfying!

Gross. Dry. Mealy. Bad aftertaste. I'll stick with jerky. Maybe as a survival ration? I'd eat it if I was starving. My coworkers hate me for tricking them into trying one.
