This is so far the best water proofing membrane I used. Really love it. Very easy to install just need brush and roller. If you got your hands dirty just wash with the water very and I mean very easy to clean. Very nice coverage. I used three coats on the bathroom shower area with size 3x5 and it was enough for to bathrooms. Stick very well after drying, looks like you installed a rubber mat. And tile mortar grabs really hard. Great product again. Maybe cost more but worth every penny.

I'm building a 3x4x8 shower in my basement. I used the Laticrete pre-formed tileable shower pan/curb (which are made of a dense foam), along with one of their wall inserts. This stuff goes on great. Simply put in a paint pan. Use a brush for the corner areas then use a roller for the rest. Goes on like a thick paint. You don't even have to stir it! Super easy to apply. I used a little over 1 gallon to do my shower. It does need two, decently thick coats. I did not need to paint the floor/curb/wall insert as they already come pre-coated in this stuff, but did a coat on the floor anyway to fix any nicks along the way. The first coat you can still see through in spots. The 2nd coat (which I did 2 hours later) really dried to a very uniform setup. For the cost and ease of use, I can't imagine using some of the other products out there. This works, just use it and be done!

I’ve been a General Contractor for over thirty years, and Hydroban is the best waterproofing membrane I’ve used. I’ve also used Redgard, Laticrete 9235, Aquadefense, and sheet membranes (Schluter/Kerdi) - and Hydroban beats them all for ease of installation and performance. I use reinforcing fabric at the shower pan, around the drain, in the corners, and at wallboard joints for peace of mind. Using the fabric increased dry times significantly, but I sleep well knowing the shower is bulletproof. Worth every penny - look no further.

Heard about this on You Tube, watching the Tile Coach. Put it over Schluter Kerdi membrane for an extra layer of waterproofing before tiling my new shower. Very easily applied with 2 layers’ from a single gallon can. Foolproof!

Hydroban is a wonderfully, workable material that will seamlessly seal your walls, floors, showers, and tub decks. It is heavy and thick, yet brushes and rollers onto tile board and mortar surfaces with ease. Apply correctly, and you’ll never have a leak ... ever.
