This book gets five stars for one reason in my opinion
at one point he says he wishes he taught a course on human evolution so he could take his class to the off track betting parlor to see species of humans that never existed anywhere else on Earth. that is one of the funniest things i ever heard

Get Ready for a Wild Ride
As somebody who is wired very similar, I found this to be a very entertaining read. It's sad, it's funny, it's gritty, and I couldn't put the book down. Arte goes through life at mach speed with no brakes. Drinking, Drugs, Sex, and Gambling are the themes here, and if you want to read about somebody that's gone down this path, or read about how your life kind of mirrors Arte's, (to a small degree), then this is the book for you. Arte is a great story teller, and I could literally feel the agony, or the joys, as I was reading "Wanna Bet". 5 stars

Good
I love Artie Lange. I read his first two books which were excellent. This one wasn’t as good as the first two but if you like Artie it’s a good read

"Better off dead "was already taken as a title
I am a huge fan of artie Lange and also a longshoreman. His first two books were great. This book is alright. Nice quick read made me chuckle a few times. I bought the book so his mother has some cash when he dies. Brutally honest insightful peek into his logic and his unconventional approach to life. I understand him better after reading this. God Bless Artie always rooting for you.....to cover the spread

Worth the money
Great read and when you buy well atleast when I bought it the money went to buy drugs . But now he is clean and sober so I guess your money would go towards Starbucks. I know he does not go to Dunkin donuts he is to Hollywood for that

This is a worthy successor for a third book - good job
Surprisngly well written, if not a re-hashed, documentation of Artie's struggles in the last few years as well as the story of how he got into gambling. There were quite a few interesting nuggets of information I read here that I had not heard elsewhere! This is a worthy successor for a third book - good job Artie

Really good. Much better than 2nd Artie book, and a quick read.
This book was an easy and fun read. I loved his first book, thought his second book was just ok...but this one is great. It's an honest reflection of Arftie discussing what it's like to look back and as he makes the reader understand, "look, I am who i am.".

Great read, sad, like a suicide note
Great read, sad stories. This book reads like a suicide note, very hard to digest, but you can't put in down, if you strain you can almost hear Sinatra's My Way softly playing in the background. The inside page of the back of the jacket cover says he's "developing a film and an animated series" sadly the only thing in development is an untimely death.
