There are more expensive chairs out there and that is evident now to me in terms of quality. I am an average sized man, well below the 300 pounds that this chair is rated for, and after three weeks of use this almost collapsed on me in the shower today. The bolts/screws had worked themselves loose in a couple of weeks and thus the whole frame was wobbly. Fortunately no harm was done and I will now periodically check to make sure things are tight but I hate to think what could happen to someone heavier and less fortunate than I was.

I only gave this chair a 3 star rating because the support legs are not sturdy. They tend to flex too much with movement under a load. The materials are good quality, but the way the legs are attached needed improving. If you sit very still or are placing this chair in a shower stall or tub with a perfectly flat floor it may work ok, but my floor by drain is sloped in 2 direction which causes the chairs legs to flex inward.

This was a purchase necessary due to surgery. Unfortunately the legs are a little wide for my bathtub. It makes getting in and out a little precarious, but it works. I would recommend measuring the shower or tub in which you plan to use this and make sure that the dimensions of the footings will squarely fit.

Item is as described. I bought this for my husband who just had back surgery. It is very strong except if you try to slide while on it. This tends to make the legs found under. Not the best quality but better than the $170 the hospital tried to charge.

Easy to assemble, but not very stable. Since I just had hip surgery, I pray every time I use it that it will stay together. It does fit easily in standard tub.

TOO LARGE FOR THE SMALL SHOWER I WAS TRYING TO USE IT IN, SO IT WILL FIND A HOME AT MY ELDERLY FATHER'S HOUSE.

I have assembled this 8 different ways and it is still a wobbly piece of junk. I thought it was to have optional arm rests ( nope ).Sorry, guys, can not advise anybody to buy this one. Pay more and get something sturdy.
