worked for 2 months, stopped, and no "warranty" support provided as promised. bummer!
got this bad boy and was pretty happy - got a bag of peppercorns and was off! i was doing coarse grinding, fine grinding, i was just a pepper grinding machine! then it came time for my first 'refill'. i popped open the top like i had done for the initial fill, sloppily got peppercorns all over the floor with a few into the chamber, screwed the top back on, and was off again! oh wait... no. the entire mechanism seemed to have stopped grinding. i am admittedly a spazz, so i took the thing apart, swallowed my pride and asked for the wise counsel of my wife, and alas, she was also unable to solve the problem. all of the pieces were in place, the parts cleaned, and still no grinding.the part that' s a real bummer is that it came with a "one year warranty"; i reached out to the company a few weeks ago, and have not yet heard a response. i ended up buying a grinder from OXO that i'm sure will last more than 2 months. not the end of the world for a ~$10 product, but didn't meet expectations.

A great pepper mill. Very simple, does everything it needs to, nothing more.
It's a pepper mill. Nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't produce SUPER rough crack, at its coarsest it's still a medium grind, so if you need rough cracked pepper for something like steak au poivre, a mortar & pestle is still your #1 bet. But it spits out pepper like a madman and the grind is VERY consistent, it doesn't get bound up or struggle to bring peppercorns down into the teeth, the fit and finish is good (not perfect, but this isn't asking much money) and it does exactly what it needs to - grind pepper quickly and consistently. the action is very smooth and pleasant to use, too.

18 months later:
It's still going strong with grinding up coarse Himalayan salt chunks. This grinder does NOT adjust, it won't make some coarse chunks and some fine depending on how you screw it together (which I believe it was advertised to do at the time I bought it), it makes everything pretty evenly fine. I love it though and have seen no signs of it breaking down yet. It's easy to refill, easy to turn. There's some resistance on the first turn each time, but then it works great. Weird to write a review on a salt grinder maybe, but I love this thing!

Rough when turning
I bought 2. One seems good. But the other one is hard to turn and makes a weird noise. I don’t really like it. Not only that... I’m handicapped from my hands so it’s a struggle. I emailed the seller and they have ignored me. That’s poor customer service. They finally emailed me back and said CONTACT AMAZON.I will never by from this company again.

Better than I expected
It grinds peppercorns very well, which is obviously what I was looking for. The packaging was very minimal, just the box and bubble wrap, no instructions. I don't know if that's normal or not. You can pretty much figure out how to make it work by looking at it, though. The quality of it feels good, I like the wood more than I would have liked something metal or plastic. When I first tried turning it, it made an unpleasant squeaky/screechy noise--turning the knob on top tighter fixed that. Would have been better with a quick 1 page instruction but really just play around with it.

Great pepper grinder, but grind is not adjustable.
This pepper grinder uses ceramic grinding jaws versus cheaper plastic teeth that break or wear out over time, and the wood body of it is pretty nice.Easy to disassemble, easy to fill, consistent grind, looks great.Downside is that the grind is not adjustable (at least that I have seen anyway). Not necessarily a bad thing since I prefer a coarser grind which this does flawlessly, but if you are looking for something that can go from really fine to really coarse, this is not the grinder for you.

Ceramic mechanism soft wood
Very happy with the purchase. For 22 canadien shipped, I got a good looking mill with ceramic mechanism. Finish is fine. I have never encountered that kind of wood before. Not hard wood but better then poplar tree or spruce. I use it every day

Très bonne moulure.
Pour cuisiner tous les jours sans faire de la cuisine intensive , c'est très bien.
