Very cooling, if a bit wet
I have MS and I am going through the menopause, so I am extremely heat intolerant. I was getting fed up at not being able to go out in the garden even in the mild heat and so though I would try this jacket.I am a size 12 top and ordered an XS, which is about right if I have a tshirt on under, but a bit too big if I wear it on its own.The instructions say to soak the jacket and then wring it out. Unfortunately, this still leaves it very wet at first, so any clothes you have on will get wet, including trousers where the bottom of the jacket rubs. It also means that I'm not comfortable wearing it outside the house as it looks odd going out with wet marks everywhere. This is why it loses a star. However, it really does keep me cool! Especially when moving around, as the instructions explain that it works better if kept in moving air. It keeps me cooler if I don't have a tshirt on underneath, but I'm not sure if that is how you are supposed to wear it. You can cool it down again by soaking it or waving it about a bit in the air. It will dry out after a couple of hours in the heat. This jacket really has made a difference to my being able to go out in the garden in the heat, so I am very happy I bought it.

Absolute lifesaver for heat intolerance during summer
This has been so helpful for me as due to health issues I'm very heat intolerant. I initially wanted to get a phase change cool vest but can't afford one, so I got this evaporative one instead. I'm so glad I did! It does what it says it does, although probably doesn't last as long as stated, but only takes a minute to re-soak and this can be done anywhere that has a water supply. It is large on me, but I am a skinny woman so I guess this would fit a small-ish man. There was a small bit of thread loose around the bottom corner adjacent to where the zip attaches but it's nothing of concern and doesn't affect the function in any way. I also find the zip a bit stiff to start off but once it's past that first sticky bit it does up fine. Overall I'm happy with it but it loses a star on those small issues.

Helps manage heat intolerance
Ugly as sin, but it helps manage my body temperature, as I am heat intolerant from MS. I wouldn’t be able to get out of the house in the summer without it.

Brilliant bit of kit
Brilliant bit of kit. Rare to need it in the UK, but a real boon in Spain this year in Temps of 35C+ when trail riding :-)

Very poor
Do not buy. Is a vest which dips in water, which in an ineffective cooling method in the heat. You might aswel buy any vest and put it in the sink.
