GOOD INSTRUCTIONS, TWO LAMES, MEASUREMENTS, LINER, BONUS BAG
10” Banneton by Hooima Review Amazon April 30 19. Overall, a very good deal ( $12 at time of purchase) for a well made banneton and several accessories.Instructions (labeled with Hooima name) that came with the set are good, consistent with the advice one can glean from several sources, and they are much, much better than instructions that have come with other bannetons I’ve bought. They are fundamental, and should be internalized by the newbie, especially the care instructions at the end. Alternately, check youtube for "use and care" bannetons.3 5/16” to 3 1/2” height (remember baskets are spiral wound)9 7/8” to 9 15/16” outside diameter (nominal 10”)9 5/16” to 9 3/8” inside diameter (few sellers gives inside diameter)A bonus (see picture for white mysterious stick) is you get TWO lames. The white is a sturdier blade, much like those with Xacto or Excel carving blades, which by its design can cut more deeply than the typical double edged razor type lame (the green one in the picture). The white is capable of being honed if you ever feel the need.Comes with a liner that is properly sized for basket and seams pressed flat to avoid grooves in risen dough. Cloth edges are stitched to prevent unraveling over time. Fabric is thick enough when used to prevent banneton rattan from showing on proofed dough. Remember to flour the fabric, rice flour recommended, to prevent wet doughs from sticking. Bread bag is a nice touch, and can be used as a cover for proofing dough, to hold bread, minimizing evaporation, or as a storage bag for the banneton.

Perfect proofing!
I started baking bread 2 months ago, not knowing a thing about it. I knew I liked 'pretty' looking bread and wanted the banneton basket pattern on my loaves. Read the reviews and thought I'd give this set a shot. I bought the Sourdough set that included proofing basket, cloth liner and lame. I've using the basket 2-3 times a week for 2 months (bought a second one too), heavily coat it with flour and choose not to use the cloth liner - haven't used the lame yet. Proofing basket is easy to clean. Love this!

basket ok; cheap blades
The blades are ok, but are SUPER CHEAP. I've had this product for about a month now, and the blade, which I've used maybe 3-4 times now has started to rust. I wash and dry the blade before recapping, but it has started to rust, which is seriously disappointing to me. Glad they included 2 blades, but nope. Next time I will purchase a slightly pricier product for a higher quality basket and blade. The basket is ok. I really needed to inspect it before use as there were several stray pieces of the basket that could have gotten into the dough. I had to sand it down quite a bit. It washes well and dries well so far, but definitely read the instructions for how to maintain the basket b/c with improper drying it can begin to mold!

There are better sets for the beginning baker.
I would have preferred a set to come with a scraper instead of two lames. They are different, so you can see which one you like the best, but really it's the piece you need the least because you could just use a sharp knife or a clean box cutter. I don't think you really need one, let alone two.I liked that this came with a fitted cover, because otherwise I thought I would need a high quality cloth. When I washed the cover though, it shrank a bunch and no longer fit well. So I tried without using A LOT of flour. It worked well and it gave my bread those really cool lines.I did like that the set came with a little bag. I was able to stuff my banneton and another of the same size both in the same bag. It's a tight fit, but it works, which is nice.Over all, I'm happy with it. Learning to make sourdough is a learning process, but after having the opportunity to try out this set, I would recommend a different one to the beginning baker.

Great fun for bread baking.
Very sturdy so far, I've used it only twice, though. I do love the texture it gives the bread crust. I haven't used the liner or bag (my loaves have been too big for the bag). The lame dulls quickly, I think keeping a small knife appropriately sharp is probably best in the long run.A very good deal for the money. I remember a long time ago when the only bannetons were from France or Germany and cost a fortune. So happy I can now afford a few different sizes.

Great buy for sourdough bakers!
I definitely do not regret getting this banneton for my sourdough baking. I used to just use a glass bowl and towel but this helps my dough keep shape and makes it easier to handle. I use the bread bag after I bake and it keeps my bread much fresher than if I left it out. This was a recommended buy from Half Baked Harvest!

A good buy for the price
The lame and the knife were not very sharp and difficult to score the loaves. The banneton were as I hoped.

Great for enthusiast
Rekindling my love of bread making and trying my hand at artisan breads, this set is perfect for that endeavor. The basket is well made, the linen liner and bad are both well crafted and the tools that come with the set are handy. It takes some finesse to get the risen dough out of the basket, but I'm sure I'll get better in time. This is a good product and exactly as described.
