My 4 year old son told us that he'd like to get a remote control car for Christmas, so naturally I came to Amazon to start reading product reviews. This one caught my eye because of the bright colors that will make it easily seen while playing outside. Upon reading reviews, I found there wasn't much people didn't like about this car and it was stated that younger children easily adapted to using the controller. I decided it would be a great fit and purchased it while the seller was offering a discount coupon.I recieved my package a few days ago and played around with it to make sure it worked. I have to say this little car is fun and quick and I have yet to get it stuck due to the unique design. It does require 4 AAA batteries for the car and 2 AA batteries for the controller, both not included. It does state to turn the car on before the remote so the remote can connect to the car properly. I made sure to do this and had no issues with it. As another reviewer stated, the controller is a bit tricky to get used to. It took me a few minutes playing around with it before I got the hang of it. For me, turning was the trickiest part. I have yet to give it to my son, but I feel that he won't have an issue figuring this out.Since it's a gift and I haven't played with it enough for it to know, I'll edit my post about battery life.**I will note that we use Duracell batteries.**So far, I'm very pleased with this car and at this point would purchase as a gift for friends/family or recommend someone else to purchase it.

The media could not be loaded. This gets the full five stars with no reservations. There is literally nothing bad to say about this. First, the controls are as easy as can be: one lever forward/backward for the righthand wheels and one lever for the left-hand wheels. I challenged my neighbor kids (age 3, 5,and 7) to use it and even the 3-year old could operate it enough to fight her siblings for it when her turn ended. With big, soft, high-traction tires that operate independently, they tried to get it stuck in my woodpile, my lawn, my deck (through a tangle of exertion cords), and couldn't do it in an hour of trying. They laughed a fit, running into and bouncing it off things, and, after about 15 minutes, the 7y/o learned how to make it flip without hitting anything by pulling one side into reverse when the car was up to speed. After about 1/2 hour, he learned to make it spin on end. The battery compartment has both a latch, and a screw; a little thing I appreciate since plastic latches sometimes break. But this car is tough, and fun; tested from 3 to 60 yrs.

Good product. Perfect for an older toddler or older. My 2yo has some trouble navigating the remote. Both toggles need to be forward for it to move forward, both back to reverse, only 1 triggered to turn. I think if it were set up with 1 toggle for forward/reverse and the other toggle for turning it would be simpler navigation. The center button is an unlabeled power button. Then there is a power switch on the car itself.At any rate, it's a good product, durable. Works well with uneven grass, leaves falling, even gets around the black walnuts on the ground. I didn't have high expectations for battery life, but was pleasantly surprised we got half a dozen uses out of them. At one point, the tire started coming off and I was easily able to slip it back on.Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. I did get an extended warranty just to be safe (I always have low expectations of kids toys), but so far it's held up well. I would purchase again for my kids or a gift for others.

It’s great. My boy is only 5, but he has no issue to play it, controls it and enjoys it very much since he received it. The battery seems not last long though it might be the battery itself or it's pretty normal since the car goes anywhere in the house now. Car is well designed, sturdy and responsive. He has it for days to play, the car has no issue, not even a dent or scratch. Perfect toy and worth the money!

Update:Following an unfavorable review, the seller contacted me to offer a replacement or a full refund. I was very surprised and pleased- the car is really awesome and fun. I had purchased it for my 4 yr old but definitely was the one to enjoy it while it worked. I purchased the car based on past reviews so the issue that our car ended up having was probably a fluke. If my kid had enjoyed it more, I would have requested a replacement, as it was, I requested and received a full refund. Very pleased, excellent service - would definitely recommend for maybe the 7 and up crowd.Original post-Stopped working after 4 months, and 3 uses: I purchased the car several months ago, played with it maybe 3 times-fast forward 4 months and the full left side of the car is no longer responsive to the remote. So, we have a rote controlled car that now goes around in a circle. I guess no chance of loosing it.
