it works, but making Goro cookies turns out to be way more work than i imagined, and dangerous too.i used a recipe from magnus nillson’s nordic cookbook, which has consistently given me tasty dishes, including for krumkake and rosettes. so, i’m confident my issues aren’t with the recipe.ok, so, the iron... yes it works, even on a glass top electric stove. however, the butter in the dough oozes out during the cooking process, creating a lot of smoke as it sits on the stovetop, and a few times it even combusted. yes, a goro iron can cause a fat fire in your kitchen! fortunately, since it’s a very hands-on process, you’re right there to deal with it.but after all the effort to make, refrigerate, and roll out the dough (this is hours of work itself), to then also get a kitchen filled with smoke and the occasional fat fire... no thanks.the goro iron is fine, but i really don’t want goro cookies that much. they’re just pretty, and don’t taste that great. certainly not worth burning down a kitchen for.

It didn't work on my electric induction oven. It didn't heat the iron properly because I was heating it on HIGH for 1 hour, but didn't achieve the temperature i was looking for. Not great. I wanted to return it to the seller. The stovetoo that I have is made of special glass and my oven is electric.

This product is well-made and worked as expected but I would prefer a electric model expecting it to be less fussy.
